Great stay at a discount price! Anthony was so overly helpful and generous! Gave me a ride to show me around first day and helped me get a taxi back to airport. Safe neighborhood (especially for a solo female traveler) and easy walking distance (or local bus) to many beaches. Starbucks was .7 miles away - bonus! Was even offered a clean room with closet and private bathroom because of the rain. Simple room, but perfect for what I needed. Stay here, totally worth it!

Tony is great to talk to. Very responsive, helpful and friendly. I felt safe. This is a tent with a comfortable air mattress and pillow in a fenced in backyard. I loved the fresh air. There is a shower with a toilet accessible only from outside. That made me feel safe. The water is not hot, but it’s ok since it is hot in the Bahamas, just took me awhile to get used to cold showers. In the evening, I enjoyed hanging out on the covered porch while my phone charged and I could read a book under the porch lights. The Wi-Fi had a good connection. The location is close to Montagu beach. Great place to get your conch salad tropical and fresh coconut water. The gas stations are great for food and drinks. Cheaper than the grocery store. Rubis is a great option. Definitely recommend The Poop Deck and Wild Thyme for delicious Bahamian food. But if you’re on a budget, realize the 10% VAT and 15% gratuity is add on top of the price you see. (I was surprised $34 red snapper costs $51.)

A fun and economic way of living, in terms of living, you get exactly what you pay for. But in terms of experience, you get soooooo much more. Anthony is an instant friend as soon as you greet him, and he is happy to answer any questions one might have. Most price worthy stay in the Bahamas. Stay fresh brother.

As a solo female traveler, Anthony is what really made my stay worthwhile. I felt extremely safe and like I was given an automatic friend. He gave great recommendations and was more than willing to help with anything you needed. The camping experience was very unique and something I will never forget! If you like to camp then you will love it here. I personally really enjoyed watching the sunset behind his beautiful palm tree in the yard, it gave me a great sense of peace and tranquility. I would definitely stay here again and I have to say it is a must to visit the craft cottage across the street at the art center. Nadine is a wonderful artist and that is where you will find authentic bahamian souvenirs you can cherish forever. Her + Anthony are beautiful souls who will accept you as their own, I was only shown kindness and hospitality. I couldn’t recommend it more. The walk to montagu beach is also convenient & a great place to relax. Maxxis blue hut at the beach is also great.

Anthony was the best host. He would reply very quickly and helpful. He had cold water for a tired traveller and was very welcoming. The accommodation was exactly what you see on the page and what you expect for a camping tent. Nothing fancy, nothing missing. But a fantastic experience. Meeting the host, seeing what real life is like on the island and being in the middle of a regular neighborhood gave me a better perspective of what life really is in Nassau, beyond the resorts and touristy areas. Be prepared to walk. There is not a lot going on in the area, which is fine. Not any supermarkets or stores around. The convenience store is a 10-minute stroll from the place.

Anthony is a great host, very helpful and want to make your stay as good as possible. I rented a tent, it was beyond expectations, he got me a big mat, pillows, blanket, towels, soap. He also gave me a few advice and suggestions about Nassau, like what to see and what to avoid. I enjoyed being there and would come and stay there again. Thank you!
