Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Tasmania

Bec's Airbnb was clean and tidy. I chose Bec's place to stay as it had three bedrooms and enough beds for my family. My kids (who are in their early 20's) love playing games and not long after arriving had found the games cupboard. It was so lovely to watch the kids communicating through a game and not their phones. We all played a game of cards on our return from dinner. The verandah was lovely to sit on watching the view to the beach. We wished we had brought our own food and had a BBQ for dinner instead of eating out. Having tea, coffee, milk and a few other condiments in the cupboard was a lovely touch and appreciated. The beds were very comfy and clean and enough room to sit on couches or around the kitchen table. We enjoyed our 1-night stay in Bicheno wished we had longer to stay another night.

Andrea is an excellent host and the accommodation was top-notch. Dogs were allowed and well-catered for, which was a deal-breaker for my father and his constant companion! Everything we needed was there, and it was lovely to relax in the sunny living room with a view of the river.

We have just completed a week's stay in St Helens. Our accommodation was spotless and had everything that you needed and more. Breakfast provisions were supplied and there were thoughtful extras in each space. The accommodation is on a lot with a second house in front, close to each other. As peaceful and beautiful as it was, any noise echoed across the valley like dogs barking from the house in front and behind. This is not the owners fault at all but something to note. That said, we would not hesitate to stay again and really enjoyed our stay.

Andrews place was really homely. The wood burner warmed the whole house and stayed alight throughout the night making it super cosy to wake up to. The view from the breakfast bar was a great start to the day. Super value for money

A private and peaceful setting which was loved by grown-ups, kids and dogs alike. The beautiful native garden was sheltered from the elements and a joy to sit and relax in. The home was well appointed and ideally located. Will hopefully be back to enjoy again.

Beautiful place to accommodate the whole family. Lots of things to do inhome and was well equipt to simply relax onsite. Host was lovely and easy to communicate with, easy check in and out process. Felt like home.

The apartment is in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It was nicely decorated, has quality appliances and is very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Had a lovely 2-night stay here for our visit to Launceston. Comfortable appartment with kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and clean and spacious bathroom with both shower and bath. The washer also came in handy, unfortunately it was raining the next day so it did take a while for the clothes to dry indoor, but it’s great to have all of these amenities at hand. We enjoyed visiting Moores Hill winery and the history walking tour of Launceston. Great location next to the gorge.

We absolutely loved Jo’s place for our stay in Launceston. It’s a beautiful home with a gorgeous view out over the river. The home is clean and well equipped. And the chickens and bunnies in the backyard were lovely! And our toddler loved all of the toys. Would definitely recommend this place for families!

Rose is a fabulous host, her apartment was exactly as the photos show, very comfortable and cosy and welcoming. A quick drive across the bridge to the CBD, and the esplanade a 1 minute walk to enjoy the beautiful bay and walking track. A gourmet IGA and Woolworths close by for supplies. We arrived late and Rose supplied milk , bread and other staples to start our holiday, and some lovely champagne to celebrate our daughter’s wedding weekend - very thoughtful.❤️ Kitchen was extremely well equipped, bed and shower fantastic. The weather was kind during our visit , but heating would be very cosy if it had been cold. Rose answered any queries very promptly. Would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend. Thank you Rose.

The stay was exactly what we wanted, cosy apartment for two with a bedroom each. The kitchen was everything we needed and extremely functional. The passcode entry was perfect as we didn’t need to worry about forgetting keys or making sure someone was always there when the other was out. Jodi and Lindsay were extremely responsive and conversations always felt personal as they were invested in why we travelled to Tasmania.

Lovely apartment which is very well-located, clean and spacious. Kasey was very responsive and helpful when we had a little trouble locating the car park space.

Quiet and beautiful neighborhood located near the local mountain bike trails, Russell accommodated storage for our bikes which was important for us. Lovely and unique home, very cozy. Met Russell as we were packing up to leave and he gave us a great recommendation to see the oceanfront and get coffee.

Really enjoyed our stay, we should have stayed longer. The absolute best location to access all Salamanca Place has to offer. The market, restaurants and local attractions like MONA via the ferry are a must do.

The location and the apartment was amazing and we felt very looked after by Roxy and Ambre. The apartment was very cutesy and has everything we need, it has beach views in one window and mountain views in the other! Kitchen is tiny but we loved preparing food in here. The only thing is the walls must be paper thin as we were having casual conversations with the tv on at around 9pm but we got frantic knocking from the neighbor (we thought it was an emergency!) telling us to stay quiet. We just had to keep it to whispers after that but overall very good experience and we had a lovely time.

Very lovely accommodation within walking distance to city and a little further walk to dock area with fantastic restaurants. Lots of parking also around docks. Easy to access condo everything you need for a lovely stay. Great value for a lovely home. Only down side was no wifi which didn’t really bother us we hot spot from phone. Easy to get to site seeing spots. Overall a fantastic stay.

Lace House was amazing we felt right at home. Beautiful views from the kitchen and balcony! The host Jacqui was very accommodating with early check in and late checkout which made our holiday with kids much more enjoyable. Everything we needed was included. Great place and will be sure to recommend to others.

Natalie's place was perfectly located: just outside the city centre but close enough that everything was within a stone's throw. Check in was smooth, and everything was clearly communicated prior to our arrival. Thanks for a great stay, Natalie!

Central and clean apartment with a parking space in the city, which is rare! Great communication from Andrew and easy to access.

Great View. Well appointed. The hosts were very friendly and left ample food and snacks which was super helpful when arriving from out of town. They even left a bottle of wine. Perfect.

The environment is clean and tidy, the landlord responds quickly and can solve problems quickly, highly recommended! It is easy to find, and the view from the balcony is also very good💝
