Farmstay vacation rentals in Tasmania

We had a delightful stay at Marg and Ian's property. The autumn colours of the garden were spectacular and Marg and Ian were very friendly and happy to answer any questions. The house was comfortable and stayed at a lovely 20° the whole time, giving us a great experience of a sustainable passive house. Close to town (must try Love Lucy Boots for coffee!) and easily accessible to Launceston and national parks for hiking. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful peaceful location. The cottage was charming and very well stocked. The firepit and free range eggs were a really nice surprise. We had the best family night around the camp fire. The only bad thing about our stay was that I only booked 1 night. Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage! It was incredibly cozy and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the owner, Karen, was absolutely lovely—so welcoming and kind. Overall, a great place and a truly memorable experience!

The place was so serene and exactly what I was looking for to recharge. Scottie was super responsive and was very warm. He even arranged to feed sheep and the place felt right at home but with a breathtaking view. Will definitely be coming back and probably staying longer

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cottage. Peaceful and beautiful location great for a base to visit many local tourist destinations . Jodie was warm and welcoming which added to our stay. She also accommodated a big ask from us with warm generosity for which we are most grateful.

We loved our 5 night stay at ‘Elvenhome’. It was a warm and cozy cottage with a lovely view over the organic orchard and gardens. It was a great launchpad to visit the local attractions like Cradle Mtn, Mole Ck caves, Trowunna Wildlife Park and the fairy penguin colony near Devonport. Graham and Kathleen were very hospitable, showing us around their farm and explaining their permaculture practices. Definitely recommend!

Lani and Noel are extremely warm and welcoming hosts and went out of their way to make us and our kids feel at home. We arrived at night time but Lani’s directions were very clear and we had no trouble finding the place. The cottage is warm and cosy due to double glazing and we loved that it was off grid. The view from the verandah is stunning and the location was brilliant as a launch pad for our Tasmanian adventure - close to the airport, Richmond and Hobart. We would definitely recommend this air bnb!

Great place to stay between Hobert and Bruny, but the weather was not help, I can imagine lying in bed and looking at the stars of the window. I definitely will come back next time I come to Tasmania!

We had a lovely stay at Orchard’s nest for my partner’s 40th. It was really relaxing, beautifully furnished, the bed and linen were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Absolutely recommend for a place to relax and reset.

My recent stay at the tiny house at Paradise at Prout was exactly the refreshing country getaway I needed. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning natural surroundings. The tiny house itself is a marvel of efficient design, offering everything you need in a cozy and stylish package. It was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The real highlights, however, were the outdoor amenities. Evenings spent by the crackling fire pit, under a blanket of stars, were truly magical. And the BBQ setup was perfect for enjoying delicious meals in the fresh air.

We loved our stay. Peter and Ruth are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed learning about the history of the Grange. The garden is well cared for and the tranquility of the midlands was a welcomed delight after a day of exploring the colonial area. Our cottage was the CUTEST! And we settled in straight away. The presentation of the decoration was on-point and a sheer extravagance of the past meeting modern day.

Karen's accommodation is absolutely beautiful and restful, tastefully styled and immaculate. Karen has thought of all those little touches and supplies that make it feel like home. We loved our stay and adored the wonderful views and tranquility. Thank You Karen and Simon.

The cottage was lovely and very peaceful and had everything we needed. Kimberley left us some fantastic recommendations for the surrounding areas in the instruction booklet.

This place is a must stay on any trip to Tassie. Clean and comfortable with a lot of extra touches added by Anna. We had an amazing time feeding the horses and goats and chilling in front of the fire place.

A big thankyou to Kirrilee for letting us stay at her beautiful air BnB. We have no bad words about it and felt so at home. Everything has been curated carefully, from the linen to the plates and bowls. The rooms were so clean and not one thing out of place. All instructions were clear and Kirrilees communication was amazing. We will definitely hope to stay again one day soon. Many thanks Kirrilee 🤍

Joanna’s place is a lovely haven in the woods surrounded by beautiful views and some entertaining farm animals as a bonus! We were particularly fond of the goose who came to look in on us from time to time. Joanna was a very easy to work with and promptly answered any questions we had. We found the place to be a convenient location for our Cradle Mountain adventure—about a 45 minute drive from the park.

We had a delightful stay at Mole Creek. The cottage is clean & homely & it's great to have breakfast provided. Our hosts were super welcoming. We were close enough for day trips to the main attractions of Cradle Mntn & Stanley, although we preferred to explore the local area. There are some fantastic caves nearby, the mountain area in the Karst National Park is beautiful & you have it pretty much to yourself. The nearby walk to the Alum Cliffs Lookout is well worth it too. The cottage is set in a beautiful English country garden style & ideal for relaxing. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you again.

Lou was amazing host! The house was just perfect, we had everything we needed even some children toys. Garden outside was great too. This is a great location within easy access to all tourists attractions Louise put the Xmas tree for us, we loved it so much and felt like having Christmas at home House is very clean and well looked after Thank you

Had an amazing stay here. Beautiful, clean, modern and felt right at home. Sue was flexible with check in time which made our stay more enjoyable. Fresh eggs when we arrived, and fresh warm bread left for us in the morning, incredible. Plus very close to Mount Field National Park. I have paid more, for much less, in worse locations. Worth every cent!!
