Beachfront vacation rentals in Talamanca

We've stayed at the Happy House for a week in October with two kids. The house is actually a jungle house in a great beachfront location. We loved the area and did a lot of swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and took surfing lesson with kids. It was kinda challenging driving from San Jose because of the several road closures, on a way back it was much faster and took about 5 hours. Remember to take with you sunscreen, Benadryl or something else what can help with ant/bug bites, anti chafing cream for kids and keep in mind what Jungle can be pretty loud at the night time.

Beautiful house in a secluded and quiet area. Communication was brilliant would recommend for anyone looking to be close enough town but in a peaceful place.

Casa Cocles was phenomenal. The location was perfection, the house was amazing ( we saw monkeys, lizards, tropical birds and more) the rooms were separated from outside so the bugs didn’t bother us. The main level was perfect to hang out and relax and so close to the beach. Ana the house keeper was probably the best part of the house. She was courteous and so kind we loved her. Her husband cooked dinner for us one night and it was our favorite meal of the trip. I literally cannot say enough good things about this place.

Great service and follow-up from the host. The treatment was very cordial. The location is perfect as it is close to restaurants, a few meyros of the Cahuita National Park.

I had the most unforgettable stay at a beach house in Punta Uva, Costa Rica, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was a true gem. The house itself was beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with a relaxed, tropical vibe. The large windows and open floor plan allowed for natural light to flood the space, and the views of the lush greenery and sparkling ocean were simply breathtaking. The location was ideal – just steps from the beach, where we could enjoy morning walks along the shore, swim in the warm waters, or relax under the palm trees. Punta Uva itself is a peaceful, laid-back town with a perfect balance of seclusion and access to nearby attractions. We loved exploring the nearby town, and checked out the Jaguar Rescue Center. The property was impeccably maintained, with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and air conditioning in the bedroom!

We had an incredible stay in this unique and historical place, rich with character and story. The architecture blends seamlessly with nature, creating an open, tranquil atmosphere. Lying in the hammock on the bridge section, surrounded by the sounds of nature, was unforgettable. If you come with the mindset that this is a historical home in restoration (not a brand-new property), you’ll appreciate its charm and authenticity. The beach is just a few steps away, and the open jalousie walls allow for excellent air circulation, keeping the space cool and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with the basics for cooking, and the fan was a helpful addition when needed. Silvia was an exceptional host—flexible, responsive, and proactive in anticipating our needs. Staying here was truly an honor, and we highly recommend it!

Casa Pina embodies the Costa Rican costal vibe and is probably my favorite Air B&B I've ever stayed in. The backyard could be a private garden with more flowers, plants and wildlife than in most sanctuary's we visited. You have your own access to what feels like a private black beach and the manager Susanna is like your personal concierge. This house was beyond amazing. I would highly recommend visiting the BriBri territory and making chocolate for an authentic experience, the family we visited was so kind. The food everywhere in Puerto Viejo was amazing

Great place to stay. Host was very friendly. A little odd with the bathroom situation, required no flushing of toilet paper. But amazing location, friendly service and staff. Very worth the stay 😊

Our stay at this beautiful house in Puerto Viejo was absolutely perfect! The house itself was stunning—immaculately clean, well-designed, and surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. It felt like a little slice of paradise. Sharon was an incredible host—she was extremely responsive, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her warm and attentive communication made our experience so much smoother and more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the massage—it was truly wonderful and added an extra layer of relaxation to our trip. If you’re considering booking, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this amazing experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Puerto Viejo. Highly recommend it and would absolutely stay here again!

Second occasion that I visit Limon and every ves me enamoro más de la zona. The location of Jerson's cabins is great in the middle of everything but with privacy so as not to saturate, the cabins with excellent maintenance, the use of technology for meals from all seems a great detail.

It was a very nice stay, with very well kept houses in the middle of a very special garden. The fully equipped house and the host's trust is amazing, plus the village of Cahuita and the National Park is highly recommended .

All the other reviews are very accurate. We would add that the available swimming pool was at times a great opportunity. Location on the beach was great. One can walk in either direction with great fauna and wildlife. Kitchen well appointed. Sleeping areas super. We had one bedroom upstairs and one down. Super easy for groceries and restaurants!! A one way bridge that blocks traffic for you!!

So the house is perfectly located close enough to town yet still feels private. The house itself is amazing. The pictures are great but the house is even better when you get there- We saw howler monkeys and a sloth in the north side of the property- the path in front of the house leads to town or a short walk to playa Cocles- plenty to do without a car!

The location was perfect. You could walk to almost everything. If you don’t want to walk you can always flag down a auto rickshaw(3 wheeled taxi). It does get extremely noisy at night with all the motorcycles and people partying at the beach. Dan does provide ear plugs which was an absolute must. But the location was worth it.

The houses managed by David are situated right in paradise. Lots of animals next to the house - hummingbirds, sloths, monkeys and many more, even in the garden. Their sound is accompanied by the crashing of the waves - you can't sleep more heavenly than that. Casa Mimosa is 100% powered by solar electricity and rainwater, comfortable, with a kitchen with everything you need and large windows looking directly into nature. Every morning you ask yourself where you should have your coffee - on the veranda? On the loungers? In the hammock? Or directly on the beach? Each place is more beautiful than the next. In addition to the stunning beauty of the place we enjoyed the extraordinary hospitality of the property manager David. He is an incredible, welcoming host and was there to help us with valuable advice and ideas anytime we had a question. Whenever a problem arose, David solved it. We are already looking forward to our next stay. 100 % recommendation!

A beautiful place, even though there is no A/C in every room the place is very nice and its living room is what we stand out most for being spacious and allows a place to share

Not only is the location absolutely perfect by the beach, the home was built with top tier thought, care and class. The wood craftsmanship throughout the house is amazing and it was planned out so well by Pedro with the common areas being open to allow the ocean breeze to flow in while encouraging everyone to relax and enjoy the views of the ocean. And to top it off, you have amazing hosts in Sylvie and Pedro who truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a fantastic stay. We were greeted (in pouring rain) by a smiling Sylvie who welcomed us with open arms and showed us everything about the house. This level of hospitality was there before, throughout, and after our week-long stay as they provided things like local referrals for restaurants or a cook to come to the house, answered any questions we had, and provided everything we needed during our stay (Pedro himself came to reset the outdoor fire pit for us to cook on!).
