Cabin in Takayama
5 out of 5 average rating, 21 reviewsThe private hot tub flows from the source.A spacious vacation log rental villa with a single detached house
My partner and I stayed 5 nights at the loghouse. We felt extremely comfortable as soon as we arrived. It was very spacious, clean and fully stocked kitchen with utensils. We used the private onsen everyday/night and was definitely a highlight. A car is required to get around. 2 x supermarkets nearby along with dining options. Fumiko-San was such a pleasure to meet and communicate with. We would stay again and would highly highly recommend. Arigatou gozaimasu Famiko-San!

A fabulous place to stay. The location is perfect as everything is within walking distance. The host was very accommodating as my friend and I had to change our check in time and it was no issues. The place is very spacious and warm for a winter visit. Would love to visit again and revisit this lovely place.

Had a beautiful stay at this townhouse. Nate helped us with the check in, and gave plenty of recommendations in the area that were super helpful (Sen Teppanyaki around the corner was 10/10 and such beautiful hosts). The indoor bath and sauna were absolutely fantastic. We spent most of the night in there and every detail in the house was perfect. Personally I would have liked to stay two nights but the trip needed us to leave sooner - such a shame. Thanks for the beautiful stay
Apartment in Imizu
5 out of 5 average rating, 5 reviewsHH9-201 Kairyu Marine Park Guesthouse
Very nice stay. Never have seen such a clean apartment. We were there in winter. In summer, the closeness of the property to the sea and the marina may be an asset. Recommend visiting the rooftop and its 360 degree view of the Japanese alps, sea and the city. Could be a nice place for a barbecue or evening drink.
Apartment in Kanazawa
4.76 out of 5 average rating, 141 reviewsPerfect for Workcation! Renovated in 2022!
We spent APPX 6 weeks at Expressions in Kanazawa, and the property was excellent. Great space for 2 people, host met us at check-in to get us set up and explain details of the home, and they were incredibly helpful and responsive the whole stay, including providing recommendations for grocery shopping, Japanese lessons, and local attractions. The location is a quick 5min walk to Omicho market, 5min to the castle, 15min to Kenrokuen Garden, 10min to the main Chaya district, and 20min to the train station. Bus stop almost immediately outside the building. Very well equipped kitchen, nice bathtub and shower, firm futons, washer/dryer combo that works very well. This property stayed warm even in the winter, the location was quiet (with the exception of some emergency vehicles), and wifi was great for video calls. We have stayed in dozens of properties worldwide, and several in Japan - this is one of the best experiences we have had!

Cabin in Nomi
4.9 out of 5 average rating, 21 reviewsNatural Log Cabin Hakusan
We stayed in this stunning home for ten days with our daughter and her partner. It was so perfect for us. There is a manual that describes everything and the place is cozy and well appointed. This is in a very quiet town, a train or car ride from Kanazawa and near Hakusan, the famous mountain. There is a wood burning stove which we used (we use one at home) and this made our stay cozy. We also watched movies on the projector and had nice meals. The head of the Hakusan worship tradition's shrine is in the town and we did our New Year's shrine visit at that shrine. There are nice walks up into the mountains and the area is quiet at night. It also has an oven and a well equipped kitchen and we were able to make our own bagels and breads from scratch. We rented a car and you will need a car if you stay here. We plan to try and come back in the summer for another visit if we can. Major grocery stores/Japanese cosmetics/pharmacy This will be our new base in the Hakusan region.

I have a lovely stay in Tomo Sans house. The house is stunning! Traditional authentic Japanese home. Very clean and surrounded by mountains. Tomo San is very kind and makes a lot of effort to make recommendations for guests. He provided me with detailled guides on the region and the public transport, local places to visit and hikes to do in the area. Although I didn't have a car, I think it would be especially great for visitors with cars because of the nearby Onsens and hikes . The town is perfectly situated between key tourist spots such as Takyama and hiking areas in Gifu and Nagano. I relied on local public transport which is very efficient. Tomo San gave me all the clear details. He even gave me a couple of lifts. Tom San makes it clear in his description that the house doesn't have a bath or shower but that wasn' t a problem at because of the Onsens. I wish I could have stayed longer!!!!

Thank you Amy san! We had a wonderful stay at your house. Amy san was very kind to wait for us to arrive at the house, to assure that our check-in was okay. She was very responsive and also suggest places to visit in kanazawa. The house was very neat and everything was in there. No need to worry for the towels and toiletries. Definitely we'll stay again at Hummingbird when we visit kanazawa in the future. ❤️♥️

5 out of 5 average rating, 10 reviewsEntire private house with 3 Bedrooms
There was breakfast of bread and drinks, towels, etc. were changed every day, and garbage was collected. In addition to the air conditioner, there is a gas heating, which is warm even during the holidays. There is no TV, but there is a large monitor, a computer, internet news, TVer, etc. On the first floor, there is a dining kitchen and a large Japanese-style room with a large Japanese-style room. The second floor has a bedroom for two and three. It is a mattress type, so it is easy to use like a bed. There was an earthquake during my stay.We evacuated people on the mountain side because there is no land intuition at 5 meters above sea level.I was able to get in touch with the owner right away. It was also nice to ask for a hosech at the restaurant next door.(I think the booking deadline is pretty early) If you want to cook properly, you should bring it to some extent. As for our company, I brought in a pot, oven, yakiniku plate, etc. that boil the tabletop IH stove, sukiyaki pot, and so on by the New Year's Eve.
Private room in Kanazawa-shi
4.96 out of 5 average rating, 70 reviewsGuest House Totem, whole floor, up to six people.
Our family of five had a great stay at Glen’s. He was friendly and provided helpful tips about what to see and do in Kanazawa. The accomodation was comfy and spacious (esp. compared to the compact Japanese hotel rooms we had been staying in). We had a car, so can’t say how easy it is to get to Glen’s place by other means. But we had a fab time in Kanazawa and would stay there again in the future.

It was a very hospitable and very friendly and clean facility. You handled it right away, even though it was a sudden reservation. I'd like to come again.
Private room in Kanazawa
4.86 out of 5 average rating, 14 reviewsKanazawa Station 3min walk | Apartment Hotel Pink Twin Room | Morning Check-in & Night Check-Out Available
Our experience with the hotel was great! The room corresponded to the pictures and immediately gave a welcoming impression. Check-in was easy and flexible from the times, which was also a relief. The most important thing for us was that it is clean and that was it everywhere. The room as well as the bathroom were well equipped and clean. We didn't use the kitchen very much, but looked very clean at the roupe corner. The best was the location! About 5-8 minutes from the main train station, which has made exploring even easier. The only criticism would be that there was no direct convenience store in the immediate vicinity, but as some were at the main train station, that was also no problem. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and a great recommendation! We will definitely come again if we are in Kanazawa again!
Cabin in Hakusan

Temporarily booked on the same day, the landlord helped us prepare the room. Even in the cold winter, it is very warm after turning on the air conditioner in the room, it is very warm, it is very comfortable to bring your own seasoning quilt. The room is very clean, it is very pleasant to stay for a stay.
