Mansion vacation rentals in Tahoe City

We loved our stay! Despite some very snowy days, we were cozy and felt right at home. It was clean and comfortable and the views were 10/10. The condo had absolutely every amenity we needed and more. We would absolutely recommend and will for sure visit again!!

Our group of 6 adults and 4 kids had a fantastic stay at **Donner Daze**! The house was spacious and well laid out, so it never felt crowded. The host was very communicative and flexible with check-in and check-out. **Pros:** The entryway doubles as a mudroom with stocked cold-weather gear. The kitchen is great for large meals, with a pantry full of essentials. The garage has an extra fridge, snow shovels, and sleds—our kids loved the hill on the west side. The deck and hot tub offer stunning views of Donner Lake and the mountains. Check-in/out procedures were simple and stress-free. **Things to Note:** More towels would have been helpful. The listing mentions bunk beds in two rooms, but they are full beds with trundles. The downstairs master has a queen bed and a futon sleeper. Overall, **Donner Daze** is a fantastic rental with thoughtful amenities and a breathtaking location. We'd love to stay again!

Luca has been the best Airbnb host we’ve encountered so far. He was so attentive and responsive. The house had everything we needed especially tons of toys that our boys played with. Kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely love to stay there again.

We loved our stay! We had 10 people and there was plenty of room. We loved the pool table and all being able to hangout in the living room. The location is pretty good, we walked to downtown but it does take 25 mins or so to walk. We had to drive to heavenly to ski since there was no close bus station. Definitely recommend and would come back!

Stay was great- beautiful house about 15 minutes from the California Lodge at Heavenly. Denise was a great host. There was a local power outage and she called to provide information on battery powered lights & heaters. Tons to do in the house- game room, hot tub, etc to keep everyone busy. One thing that is a MUST is a AWD vehicle, as the driveway & road approaching are both very steep. All in all, would stay again!

We had an amazing stay at Riley’s place! The house was perfect for our group, with plenty of space and fantastic features. Riley was an excellent host—communication was prompt and clear, and the check-in/check-out process was super smooth. The location is unbeatable—a short walk to the slopes at Heavenly, which was so convenient for us. If you prefer to drive, the parking lot at the California base isn’t far either. Plus, being close to town made it easy to get around and enjoy the local spots. Some of the standout features: the hot tub room (perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes), the well-equipped kitchen (we loved cooking here!), and the two master bedrooms, which made it great for groups. All in all, a comfortable and enjoyable stay—we would definitely come back again!

I can't stress enough how perfect our stay was! Book today! From the cozy feel, the comfortable furniture, beautiful large fully fenced backyard, to the excellent communication from Beth! Our last favorite Tahoe airbnb for snow sold the property and we've been in search of another one to take our 2 huskies and our neices and nephew, and this is it! You'd never know it had dogs in it by how pristine it is kept...and even my dog fell in love with the dog bed versus his own we brought! Literally walking distance to a quiet spot for sledding, short drive to Heavenly. And last but not least - Beth was a dream to work with. She graciously let us check in early (we arrived earlier than expected), and I actually left my work laptop in the house after we left. Beth was on it, communicated fast, and overnighted it to me. Thanks again for a perfect getaway!

Very clean, comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood. The house was very relaxing for the entire family and the hosts were very accommodating and polite!! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be close to the lake but avoid the congestion of the busier areas. We will definitely go back

We had a great stay at this beautiful and cozy house. The kitchen was well equipped for meals for 7, and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. Lots of extra blankets and towels were provided, which was helpful. The backyard was completely snowed over, which provided a fun play area for the kids. Zhaolei was super responsive and welcoming. We would definitely return in the future.

This place was everything it said plus way more! Perfect family get away. If you are traveling with kids it’s perfect. Toys, baby gates, pack n plays, sledding hills and even anti choking kits. Used the sledding hill a ton but luckily avoided the anti-choking kit. Jokes aside, it’s one of the best thought out airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely, will come back for a summer get away with family and friends.

Chris let us check in early. That was much appreciated. We did not realize we could walk across the street to Gar Woods.. a restaurant we frequent when we visit Tahoe. The place was clean and matched the photos. We used all 4 bedrooms for our 3 families and enjoyed spending time together. We lucked out on both weather and traffic.

We had such a great stay here with family and friends over the weekend! The cabin was beautiful, in a great location, and the host was super friendly and responsive. One thing that really stood out was how well-stocked everything was, which isn’t something we’ve typically seen at other Airbnbs. The kitchen had everything we needed, from pots and pans to coffee machines, spices, and seasonings, which was perfect since we did a lot of cooking. Just a heads-up if you’re a coffee person: they provide the machines but not the coffee, so be sure to bring your own! The place was also dog-friendly, which was a huge plus. We loved that there were tons of games, activities, and even outdoor gear to keep everyone entertained. You can tell the host really cares about the guest experience, and we’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great to find a space that can accommodate a large group of people with enough personal space.

Very spacious house, conveniently located close to Lake Blvd, providing a short drive to Kings Beach, Northstar, Tahoe City, and the Alpine and Palisades resorts. The house is quite spacious, with plenty of sitting space, a good kitchen and dining room space. There is room for 4 cars in the driveway, plus one or two in the garage (depending on your parking skills ;-), which is nice. My friends and I are already thinking of trying to rent this lodge again next year (although this review may make it more difficult...). We had a small issue with the hot tub -- it was perfectly usable (it is really big too), but the jets did not function correctly every time. This has been reported and given Madelyn's responsiveness, I am confident that this will be solved.

Brian is a great host he’s super responsive and very helpful. The house is extremely close to the stagecoach lift. It’s a beautiful location great scenery. It’s important to note that to get to the one bedroom you have to walk through another bedroom. Also it’s important to know that one bedroom is a loft and it has no walls. So both of those bedrooms offer limited privacy and quiet.

Melissa was amazing! Super communicative with us and very accommodating. Her place was perfect for our girls ski weekend, just 10-15 minutes from Palisades and only 5 minutes to the downtown area. The Airbnb was so cozy & had plenty of bed spots which was great for 8 ppl. The kitchen is fully stocked - coffee tea sugar spices etc. & bathrooms were very clean with tons of extra towels! The hot tub was right outside the Airbnb & Melissa also supplied beach towels for us to use. Would highly recommend anyone families/friends staying here! Would definitely come again

Paula's place was wonderful - exactly as described, quite clean and in a great location. It had everything we needed. Paula was also extremely helpful, we appreciated how quickly she responded and how considerate she was.

Very clean, comfortable home. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was lovely. I liked that it was a short walk to the village. The hot tub was very nice. Comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay for larger group. Conveniently located for skiing at Northstar. House beautifully remodelled with pristine kitchen and bathrooms. Pool table and hottub provided tons of funs to kids as well as adults.

Jennifer’s place was just as described, perfect for our group of 5 for everyone to have their own space. Great location right on Lake Tahoe and 5 min drive to the mountains and village. Amenities were close and accessible and perfect for winding down after long days in mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again when we are back in town!

We had an amazing stay here. The place is stunning and spacious (close to downtown Truckee). Michelle was so kind and helpful throughout our trip. She quickly answered any questions we had and was incredibly accommodating. Would love to come back in the future!

Qi was a very thorough and communicative host. Super clear instructions for check-in and check-out, as well as for using the amenities around the house. The space itself was cozy and very clean, and it housed our group of 8 comfortably.
