Barn vacation rentals in Susquehanna River

Everything was great, maybe I missed that the bed is up the ladder only, no option of sleeping on floor level. But if you are okay with the ladder (it was fun for me) then it is a super cool fun and funky. Pictures are accurate.

We had a lovely stay! The layout was just perfect for us, and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the decor and it was very clean. It had everything we needed - even sound machines in the dresser drawers! The treats waiting for us upon arrival were very much appreciated. Sara was always quick to respond and provided helpful information. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Our family had a wonderful time at Larissa’s farm. Our three kids loved working on the farm - learning, contributing, and being outside - and Larissa is just such a kind person who was super patient with the kids. The apartment was great, everything you need for a short stay, and was just what we were looking for, clean and well-kept. Larissa provides a ton of info about stores and restaurants and activities nearby, and we just had such a fantastic and relaxing time. Highly recommend!

We loved the location, the comfy cabin-like atmosphere, quiet and private. Everything we needed was in the cabin, bed was comfortable. The venue was easy to walk to the main part of the town within minutes - all of the Woodstock attractions from food to music to shopping! Hostess, Susan, was informative with both brochures and called us the night before arrival to ensure everything was in order. We will definitely consider this sweet cabin for our next adventure in Woodstock, there is so much we want to do - especially hiking and exploring more of the Castskills. A special thank you Susan!

We loved Joe&Amy location! It suited our needs perfectly - we were looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature. We felt at peace looking at stars at night (got lucky to be there during Geminid meteor showers!) from the hot tub; and at multiple birds flying to bird feeders all morning. The surrounding area features a nearby pond and majestic trees that you can access through a wide dirt road starting right at your doorsteps. We loved our stay, and we are thinking of making it our yearly retreat destination.

I chose this lovely home to host a teacher training gathering for a few days after a conference in the area. It was a perfect size for our small group. The barn acted as a nice meeting space, and felt spacious with the big doors open! The home is tucked away on some beautiful land, with a waterfall and a pond in walking distance. Cool art all around and eclectic furniture. Would highly recommend!

What a tremendous home! It was stocked with absolutely everything you could ever imagine. We roasted a chicken, baked a pie and made delicious coffee with ease. Our pup also had a tremendous time and the scenery was incredibly serene. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to visit again!

amy’s cozy home has been one of my favorite airbnbs yet. it’s a quick walk to the heart of woodstock, yet feels private. i spent most of my time in front of the fireplace and relaxed to the sound of snow falling. you can’t get any cozier. amy was proactive in checking in and made sure everything was perfect. 10/10. i’ll be back for sure.

I would give 10 stars if I could. We had an amazing stay in this airbnb. As soon as we walked inside we felt at peace. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner (appropriate cookware, salt, pepper, tinfoil, etc). It felt luxurious inside. And we loved the beautiful surroundings and farm animals. Honestly I wish I could live in this airbnb 😁. Great host who was easy to communicate with.

I reserved this Airbnb for my wife and her sisters to stay at for a holiday weekend, below is the review of their stay The Loveliest Little Cottage My sisters and I stayed at the cottage over a weekend in December and we had the most wonderful time! The location was perfect (a 5 minute drive to Peddler’s Village) and the cottage was unbelievable. It is a gorgeous place where we felt immediately warm and cozy. Our stay was made even nicer thanks to our wonderful host, Frank. Frank was quick to respond, helpful, and a so very kind. This cottage is a special place and we intend to come back!

We loved our stay here! The guest house is very well appointed, with plenty of space for a couple (and a good sized dog). All the amenities and appliances were top notch. We did a good amount of cooking as well and found the kitchen to be very well supplied, with quality pans, knives, and serving ware. The shower is amazing. The bed and linens were all super comfortable. And the hot tub was fantastic. The whole property felt very private too. While the guest house shares land with the main house, we felt very tucked away and to ourselves. And the exterior of the house was so charmingly decorated with lights and winter accouterments. It was the perfect winter getaway. We would love to revisit in other times of year too. The surrounding area has a ton of A+ hiking and outdoor activities. With no short supply of great restaurants, wineries and distilleries. William was an excellent host: always responsive, and very proactive with suggestions. Great experience. Highly recommend!

Arriving after dark, I was a little nervous I would have trouble finding and entering The Red Barn but driving up it is illuminated with beautiful lighting! The directions for parking and how to enter were so very easy and clear. Upon entering …. honestly I didn’t want to leave! Attention to every detail a guest would want and need. Stunning decor, privacy with all window shutters and curtains, impeccably clean, the kitchenette stocked with everything you need. A super nice touch to find bottled water, tea, coffee and breakfast bars as I arrived late… even a bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge! I just loved the writing desk area! As it is winter, the zoned heating made it warm and cozy as needed. I could go on but in a nutshell it felt like home away from home. I will definitely return. On my last day I woke to a couple inches of snow and found Brian out making the steps safe and clearing my car! The Red Barn sets the bar high for my future Airbnb picks! The Copper Barn was a wonderful place to stay for a family wedding in the area. There was plenty of room for my husband and me, as well as our adult children. The place was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Richelle was communicative and friendly. Altogether a terrific experience.

We stayed at Big Boy’s Farm for our daughter’s 2nd birthday and it was absolutely amazing!! The entire farm was so peaceful, beautiful, had great amenities (sauna and gym!) and the host was so welcoming! We stayed in the “barn suite” and it was perfect for our little family. Can’t wait to book again!

What a great long weekend! The property was beautiful, house was very neat and clean, and the views were AMAZING. Everything was as advertised. Hosts were great, responsive, and their instructions and expectations were crystal clear. Guests I was staying with were already talking about booking this location again for themselves in the future as we were checking out as they wanted to stay longer!!!

Loved the place! It has the barn outside and the cozy warm feeling on the inside. You would never know you were in a barn. You have to pet the cat sammy. Right by walkins glens make sure ti visit the gorge

Had a great time! Airbnb is super close to the town and had lots of good space. Beds were super comfy.

The place is amazing. So close to Phoenicia and great hiking and yet remote enough that you will rarely see a car on your road. The stars at night! Definitely plan on sitting out and stargazing on a clear night. There seems to be a disconnect sometimes in reviews for mountain cabins. I have seen people rant as if they expected a Four Seasons accommodation in the middle of the woods. It is an outdoor house during the cooling fall months so, yes, there may be a mouse or two you may see or hear, but that is the nature of nearly every home this time of year and especially remote wooded homes. Just saying so you have an accurate picture of where you are going and don't attack the host or ding the review (I once saw a review for a Catskills house that said it was "difficult to get to" and "remote". LOL) Can't wait to return. Such a great find.

Beautiful Carriage House located in the Brandywine valley. Anne's Carriage House is everything described and more!!! There was a lovely bouquet of flowers awaiting us on the coffee table and we were greeted by Banjo and Winnie, two cute and very friendly Cardigan Corgi's. The kitchen area was well stocked with everything we needed from cups, plates and appliances to coffee, tea and spices. The upper level was the perfect size bedroom, bathroom and a dressing area featuring a washer/dryer if needed. The entire apartment is beautifully decorated and has the perfect cozy and charming feel. While our stay was early winter, and the flowers and trees are now dormant for the season, the property is silly very pretty, private and quiet with a horse farm across the street. This is the perfect place for any couples or singles looking for a relaxing getaway retreat! My wife and I are already planning a return in the spring. Anne is a great host who made our stay a pleasure!!!

This would be my third stay and it was just as peaceful as the first. I loved returning each evening to a homey and relaxing home. I had everything I needed (including breakfast) and really enjoyed the days it snowed. Beautiful property.

You definitely have to check out Peter's cabin! It was such an amazing experience! We had a blast unwinding by the cozy wood stove and grooving to his fantastic collection of records. Plus, cooking was super easy—Peter thought of everything and even provided all the spices and plenty of other essentials!

This place is a gem - clean, well-appointed and plenty of space in a great location. It feels very private and it’s nice to be in the woods but so easy to get to Stone Ridge, central Kingston, and Rosendale. Amanda was super communicative and responsive. Highly recommend.

Large, beautiful space with great big leather couches and beautiful bathroom where we felt immediately comfortable, great fenced in backyard.

This place was fantastic! Super clean, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was such a unique experience. The view was amazing and I loved feeding the donkeys and horses each morning during our stay. We cannot recommend Charlotte's place highly enough!
