Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Sunderland District

thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Host very responsive to any issues we had. Easy to get the keys etc and in. Very well equipped kitchen, all rooms a good size for what we needed. Pleasantly surprised with the bathroom, the pictures really don't do it justice, it was lovely! TV was easy to use and sign into our apps. Fire also easy to use. We ate twice at the Travellers rest as it's a short walk away. lovely meal, portions are VERY generous. We were there to go to Diggerland and Beamish, both were a very short drive away and were both a great day out!!

Hellen was such a star and her kindness added to the home, welcomine feeling of the house. Ideally located 15 mn from Seaham, in a peaceful streets with two little shops nearby if you need anything… And the house is so well equipped, so comfy. A huge thanks, everything was absolutely perfect!

We had a lovely time at Middle Cottage, everything was as described and we felt very comfortable. Only downside the local pub was shut ! Hardly Dee and Charles fault. Thank you

We stayed here the 19th April until the 20th of April 2025, louise was very responsive to the text i sent them. with easy instructions on how to get into the property plus the snug. walking distance to lots of amenities, pubs restaurants, fast food takeaway.. We used Guisborough for a flying visit to Middlesbrough, and we would definitely recommend staying here. We have just returned from a relaxing stay in Steph’s lovely peaceful house in the gorgeous village of Wylam. The house was perfect for our family of 4. An extra single bed was provided for the kids and they loved the cuddly mice on the bed. We enjoyed the log burner on a cosy night in and playing the board games. The kitchen was perfectly kitted out for cooking and really appreciated the milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolate that welcomed us! The village has some relaxing walks, park and pubs! Perfect to get the train into Newcastle too. Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Lovely clean and tastefully decorated house, everything there that you could want while away from home. Really well stocked kitchen, so you can make a variety of meals if required. Beds really comfy and the street is very quiet so slept like a log! All the rooms were a really good size, more than enough room for a family of 4. Location was great for our needs (visiting family), the town is within walking distance so really handy. Richard was very responsive to messages and really friendly. All in all a really positive experience and will definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable, clean accommodation. Comfortable beds. Quiet street in town centre. 10-15 minutes walk from train station . Hosts responded to enquiries promptly and were very helpful.

We had a lovely time. It was like a home from home. Emma couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of enticing cafes and restaurants in Bishop Auckland.

Wow, what a great place to stay, my wife and I have just had two perfect, peaceful and relaxing nights in this annex attached to Fiona's property .From the initial booking to us leaving Fiona has been so helpful in her prompt response to any questions raised.The property itself and the ground's it sits in are absolutely stunning, all the amenities listed in the description are there for you to enjoy, great having the family chicken's and sheep wandering in front of your Windows and of course the family dog's ( only unfortunate for us the chicken's were not in egg laying mood) Couldn't recommend this property enough and we would definitely return.....oops forgot to mention the home made scones on arrival... We very much enjoyed our stay at Lisa’s place. We were delighted with the hamper of food essentials left for us. The accommodation was superb - spacious, clean, modern. It was just a short walk to the city centre for amenities and attractions. Would recommend! Paul & Clare

Linda’s place was perfect for our family of 4. Close to transport and supermarket. Linda met us in arrival and was very welcoming. The flat has everything we could need and more. Spotlessly clean and warm. Spacious rooms. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great location, great apartment, really comfortable and a lovely place to stay in a fantastic town. Parking spot and the lovely big living room with views over the town a big bonus too.

Lovely quiet property with bonus of free parking. Spotlessly clean, cosy and fully equipped. Close to Metro station which made getting round Newcastle hassle free. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars 😊
