My favorite part of our stay was definitely the staff! They were so nice and even took our bags that we had stowed in the common area up to our room once it was cleaned and ready. It definitely is an old house that has some inconveniences (outlets are difficult to access, floor a bit off level) but all in all, a nice alternative to hotels. Very much like a bed and breakfast, though we didnt have the opportunity to partake of any of the breakfast.

Joseph was great to work with, the location was 20 minutes from downtown and there is a wonderful park within 900 feet of the house with trails, a huge playground, and pet friendly. The house was just as pictured with a very big backyard and dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Anne was an amazing host who thought of absolutely everything! She even bought special gluten free treats for me which was beyond my expectations. Her home is beautiful and the space is very quiet and comfortable. My only regret is that I didn't stay long enough to hang out with her. I highly recommend Anne's little Charleston retreat and I will definitely be returning.

The Palmetto is PERFECT!!! We absolutely loved our stay there. We got into town early in the day and knew we would need to kill some time before check in so walked around the city and stumbled upon this beautiful hotel! We were chatting about how gorgeous this hotel was and how we would love to stay there one day. When we realized it was the Palmetto that we had booked, we were ecstatic! The inside is just as impressive as the outside. We were offered a welcome cocktail upon arrival and they had a ready list of several events going on in the area during our stay so we could not possibly run out of things to do. We will absolutely be staying here again, next time we are in Charleston!!!

We stayed here for our wedding weekend because our venue was right down the road, and it was the best decision we could have made. Denise and Tanya are excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The house itself is immaculate, clean, and comfortable. All the creature comforts are in place and of great quality. The property is also amazing. Perfectly serene and beautiful. There’s horses you can feed and a pond to fish in. Don’t hesitate to book this place if you’re needing a spot on Johns Island.

Convenient location, close to downtown and beaches. Included everything we needed and was more spacious than I expected. The space was clean, cozy, and easy to access. Could see downtown Charleston from inside and the backyard is beautiful. Felt very private and the area is very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay!
