Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Summersville Lake

This little home was very cozy and cute. It was extremely clean with no strong fragrances from plug ins or laundry detergents. We are sensitive to strong, chemical smells and we were very comfortable here. It was a five minute drive to our destination, we lived the beautiful trees in the backyard and the surrounding houses were quiet. It was a peaceful stay! Thank you!

This place was clean and comfortable and the location was great for our purposes. Our host was great to work with and even tailored the stay according to our particular needs. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Oak Hill.

Went up for a weekend away with my girlfriend. Was worth every penny. The hosts have a modern home, in a very quiet setting. The area around Fayetteville, WV is beautiful and couldn’t recommend this place more.

First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

This place was perfect for our wedding weekend at The Gaines Estate and everything is super walkable. The fire pit was perfect for hanging out with our friends and family in the evenings. Everything was super clean and the house was cozy. I would definitely stay here again!

Melanie and Troy’s home was perfect for our family and Melanie was prompt with any questions we had, including excellent recommendations for restaurants and hiking in the area. The location is perfectly located close to the national park trails, an amazing city park and is walkable to downtown Fayetteville. Their home is clean and includes little extras like games, coffee and even a little Christmas tree for the holidays. Melanie and Troy went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. When they became aware the freezer was not working properly, they ordered a new refrigerator to be delivered the next day and even replaced our ice cream. We enjoyed the area and accommodations were perfect!

We had a delightful stay. The coffee bar had a huge variety and the snacks were plentiful. We had a great weekend celebrating a friend’s birthday. The large comfortable sectional sofa was a great place to hang out. Robert was welcoming and attentive and we would definitely stay again!

My second stay in this home and I will be back. You get a great sunset view from the front porch! Its the easiest 15 or so mile drive down the mountain to the bridge or hiking. This home is right on the river, you really cant beat it. Ill be back again! Jim is an exceptional host and responds quickly!

The three days I was there it was chilly & it rained… so having the carport was really nice along with the space heaters too. Kitchen had everything I needed and loved having a washer/dryer. Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at Angela & Jeff’s place and in the surrounding area. We hiked, biked, and zip lined and had a blast. Enjoyed several local restaurants too. Beautiful location at a comfortable, well-appointed place, we enjoyed our stay immensely, including the fire pit at night under the stars. They have thought of everything here to ensure your comfort and enjoyment and it shows!

We were so happy with our stay here. The place is big and cozy, a very short drive to some beautiful spots to climb, and Lucas was an exceptional host. He's a really kind and friendly person, always responds to messages within minutes, and was eager to help in any way that he can. When we noticed the kitchen was missing a couple of items we needed for meal prep, he had them bought and dropped off that very same night. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you for everything!

Really appreciated Lucas’s quick response and flexibility to let us stay longer than listed to be able to have my procedures at local hospital. When we had WiFi issues he messaged and called to try to help us resolve them. The place was perfect for my husband and I to stay! Comfortable, cozy, great kitchen to reheat dinner and such! We had a great night there!

The house was easy to find and easy to access. Google maps took us right in. The owner provided directions which were easy to use and made it easy to find. The house was really cool. The log cabin side nostalgic. The loft was wonderful. The wife and I were able to sit and talk. First time in a few years away from the children so even more special. The hammock chair on the porch was my favorite part.

The location was super convenient as I was traveling to attend Bridge Day. The cabin looks just like the photos and it was easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my cabin. And when I mentioned that the space heater that was provided was not working properly they replaced it for me. If you are looking for a no-frills, basic shelter and accommodations then this is it!

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

Sherry was there to meet us on check-in day to make sure we got into the cabin, because it had snowed. The cabin itself, was pristine, warm, and comfortable. All of us agreed we had never stayed anywhere that was so well stocked with everything from pots and pans to paper products. They even provided sleds for the kids to play with the snow. We loved the outdoor gas fireplace, which had a replacement tank available at the cabin. The basement TV game area kept the adults and kids entertained all weekend. Sherry was very helpful with any questions we had and got right back to us. We would absolutely recommend this property for families or just an adult getaway. Thank you Sherry, for being a wonderful host.

We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

This cabin is our favorite spot! We have been coming yearly and will continue to come. It never gets old and there’s always something to do.

Brenda was very kind and went over everything in-depth. We brought a dog and there was plenty space for him to run around and explore. Since it’s winter, most of the ACE resort attractions were closed but it was only a 20 minute drive to Fayetteville and New River Gorge.
