Experience the serenity of West Virginia in a beautiful cabin, two minutes from Summersville Lake. It is perfectly situated, with the feeling of being in the woods while still located near all town's amenities. Summers offer close access to outdoor adventures like fishing, hiking, rafting, biking and so much more. Winters are peaceful and cozy in the cabin surrounded by snowy mountains. We loved our stay in the cabin. It was so peaceful. We got visits from deer every evening & shows from the lightning bugs every night. We enjoyed eating our meals on the screened in patio. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax before bed. The twin beds were not very comfortable (& they were also really squeaky). The other beds were fine, though. If you’re terrified of bugs & spiders, this probably isn’t the place for you. They weren’t excessive, but they were regularly visible. Mostly daddy long legs, nothing too scary.

Gary's airbnb was one of the best I've ever stayed in. The cabin couldn't be better located for all the adventures in and around the New River Gorge that we wanted to explore. Our check-in process was seamless, and they provided freshly baked bread, local jam, and fresh eggs which we made quick work over over the next several days. Because of adventures above, the hot tub was a must and made for the perfect end of our days. If you're thinking about renting this, don't hesitate, just do it!

We had a great time. The unfortunate situation was what we chose to stay in which was the only reason we went there had a frozen pipe issue. The cabin was originally from 1840 but we had to stay in a more modern one. They did upgrade us to a bigger cabin but it was only two of us. We did have our hearts set on staying at the original one we chose. It worked out we had a good time actually there was nobody else there and it was very peaceful. He did communicate with us unfortunately it was through email and we were on the road and I did not see it till we got there. Once again it was a good time though.

We stayed here to get away from our hectic work lives for a short weekend. This cabin and LOCATION was perfect for what we were looking for, in fact, we only used our phones for photos - not once did we check our emails. There are so many trails to hike within a 15 minute drive and great local coffee shops, winery, distillery, and breweries we highly recommend to check out! The rain didn’t stop us from touring the lovely places this location has to offer and our nights were spent in the hot tub, playing board games, and watching movies of the DVDS provided by Tim! The locals were all very friendly and everyone welcomed and LOVED our dog - we left making some good friends in the area! We were able to take our dog EVERYWHERE with us…even on a distillery tour! If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway and to unplug for a while, this is the place to stay for you, your significant other, and your pup. We will definitely be back!

This place was perfect! It was far enough off the grid providing peace and quiet and soothing nature. We loved this place! It was beautiful inside, clean and user easy. We had no issues. There was even cooking oil and spices in the cabinet and coffee every day. The linens were fresh and clean. The house was tidy and spotless! The decks were amazing and we spent a great deal of family time on the front porch or playing games on the kitchen table. I would give this place 4 out of 4 stars! Just awesome!!!

A great base for our long weekend rock climbing in the NRG area! We were out for most of the days, but fully enjoyed coming back to hot showers and comfortable sleeping arrangements (5 adults).
