Vacation rentals in Staunton

Great place to stay, especially if you have kids and/or dogs. There are many outdoor activities for the kids and the upstairs bedroom has many toys to entertain them as well. There were place settings geared towards my daughter and son individually. They also loved the little treasure hunt set up for them. Water and food bowls were set up for our dogs, as well as a dog bed and covers on the couches for them. It was very relaxing for adults with many options to enjoy the property, whether inside or outside on the various decks (one is enclosed which is great for dogs), in the hot tub, or the fenced in grass area (also had seating).

Fantastic tranquil farm house with all the amenities to relax. Richard was always timely in his communication and offered hospitality as if we were family. His house was clean, tidy, and spacious. The accommodations were extremely dog friendly, especially with expansive grounds to walk our dog. Would stay here again for sure!

I would recommend to anyone need to get away for a quiet, peaceful retreat. The cabin was clean and welcoming. Checking in was easy. The hot tub was a lovely edition that I very much enjoyed!! We very much enjoyed our time and can't wait to go back!

The house is very clean and cozy, and the place, in general, is perfect if you have a dog, due to the fenced-in yard. The location is great for exploring all that Nelson county has to offer. Michael was responsive in supplying a cable that was missing on the DVD player, and everything was smooth and straightforward with check in and check out. The stream in front of the house is charming, though the property more generally was not quite as scenic as the pictures and other reviews led me to expect. This was primarily due to the fact that there is some kind of construction project being done on the property, and there were some large, unsightly gouges dug out of hillside - I assume for what looked to be some of kind of pond restoration or construction. Overall, a nice place to stay with pets in Nelson county.

The cabin is beautiful and had plenty of room for us (6 adults, 3 kids & 1 infant). Everything was exactly how it is pictured! The hosts couldn’t have been nicer & were very accommodating. Location was perfect for all that we wanted to see including Luray Caverns & hiking Shenandoah National Park. Our family vacation was perfect and we look forward to staying there again in the future!

had an incredible stay! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. The check-in process was smooth, and the place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described….if not better! The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, left a guide providing great local recommendations and ensuring I had everything I needed. The amenities were top-notch, the beds were comfortable/clean, and the location was perfect close to skiing, snow tubing and the waterpark! Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. If you’re considering this place, go for it…you won’t be disappointed! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such an incredible stay. We loved the farm and so did our dogs. They spent a long weekend off leash romping around with Luke’s very sweet dog and admiring his stunning Percheron and thoroughbred. My husband and I agreed, petting horses is good for the soul. His log cabin was disassembled, re located, and re built by him. He’s adorned it with a selection of antiques and reclaimed pieces that are truly enchanting and create such a fabulously unique atmosphere that was truly one of a kind. Prior to our stay I had read the reviews mentioning he had antiques and asked about local stores. Not only did he make recommendations, he stopped in 3 locations and got cards for us from each and let them know we may stop by prior to our arrival. We are already looking at dates for our next stay. This place is truly a slice of heaven on earth and an ode to unique and wonderful things that have existed in the world long before we existed and a display of creativity and craftsmanship. Stay here!

Our family had a blast staying at Penny and Susan’s place! Everything was just a five-minute drive away, making it easy to travel with two toddlers. The neighborhood felt so peaceful and quiet. We hope to come back during the winter season!

Everything was perfect. Mark was available next door if we needed anything. Very convenient to downtown Crozet.

This was a perfect home base for our Skyline Drive getaway—close to the 211 entrance but very quiet and seemingly a world away. The cabin was super cute - we loved it! We had a problem with the heat the first night. Apparently the whole system was recently replaced and the thermostat didn’t work quite right for the system. But even on a weekend in a remote place the owner was able to get the problem solved within a few hours, even on a weekend. Everything else was excellent! The transaction was smooth and the host communicated well. Saved on a list for a repeat stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great post Christmas trip to the region. We actually felt the photos didn't do it justice and it's a little cuter and nicer than we were expecting!

Our family of 6 had an incredible time at this beautiful AirB&B near Massanutten, VA. The home was absolutely perfect for our getaway. It was spacious, cozy, and had a backyard that we loved—plenty of space for the kids to run around and play! The location was ideal for both skiing at Massanutten and sightseeing; we also had an amazing visit to Luray Caverns, which was just a short drive away. The home truly felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed, from toiletries to welcome snacks, and even games for family fun. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals—honestly, we only needed to buy food & seasonings. The host was incredibly responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed and that our stay was seamless. We will definitely be coming back for another stay. It was a perfect vacation for our family, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Highly recommend.

You will not regret renting this place. It’s in a very nice neighborhood with easy access to good restaurants. Tammy was an excellent host. She responded to every message quickly, gave us great recommendations on things to do and great restaurants. We ate at Iron and Ale recommend by Tammy. It was excellent. She even provides farm fresh eggs which were delicious for our breakfast before heading up to Wintergreen to ski. The home was spotless and had so much space for my group of 7. My only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay! Thank you, Tammy, hope to stay here again if we are in the area.
