This place was amazing! It is the perfect private getaway with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The history behind the tower itself made it even better. Be sure to read about it in the book on the bookshelf! Great place to relax, unplug, and slow down and enjoy the local amenities. Host gave great details and directions and was proactive before and during the trip. You should stay here!

My family of 7 was more comfortable at the Fox and Hen Den than our own home! Too bad Leslie wasn’t in charge of the weather, if she was, I would bet it would have been sunny and perfect the whole time, but since no one can even predict the weather perfectly, let alone control it, Leslie made sure the entertainment within the cabin was accommodating for all interests. All 5 kids 16 to 5 were thoroughly satisfied with time spent indoors here. Unfortunately, a couple of us came down with some sickness, but every possible comfort in the home existed for that too! Not to mention the proximity of modern day needs like Walmart being ten minutes away, which when you see the place is shocking to imagine. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Anytime we return to North Carolina, it would be our first choice to stop here! Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us! ❤️❤️❤️

This is our "winter home" 😁. It's cozy and has quick access to the lodge at Beech Mountain Resort. Carl is responsive and helpful.

We did not get to stay at Rick’s place because we had an unexpected death in our family. We had great communication with Rick and we will be staying there next time we head to the mountains.

We had an amazing trip. The house was beautiful and clean and the location was perfect. The beds were so comfortable and the fireplaces were charming. We will absolutely rebook in the future and we definitely recommend a stay here.

The Knob Hill Chalet is a fantastic place to stay if you want to get away and wake up to a beautiful view. Amazing area that is nice and clean with just the right amount of decor to make you feel at peace. Highly recommend and will be staying again!

We had a great stay at Nicholas' place. Close to Sugar Mountain for skiing as well as Boone and Banner Elk. Cabin was clean with a beautiful view from the porch.

The place was very nice and peaceful. Shannon gave us a full tour of the place, which made us feel right at home. There are many animals on the property, which, we loved and the hot tub was great after a long snowboarding trip. I would recommend this place to other guests visiting the area.

The place was awesome! Me and 5 of my buddies stayed for 3 days on a skiing trip. The drive from the house to the mountains was quick and easy. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. The past guests left some beer behind which was an awesome little treat. All around a great stay and would highly recommend!
