Monthly Rentals in Strathdownie

I absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful beach house. It was a great place to recuperate after recent surgery and I spent my days sitting at the beach watching hubby fish , or on the back patio reading or watching time pass. The minute we walked in we felt right at home and immediately relaxed, everything was so clean and fresh . The house is 10 mins from Port Macdonnell, great place for pier and beach fishing, with vehicle access to sand. Can recommend the Local pub for meals, and we were quite impressed with the local laundromat which we used a couple of times itwas reasonably priced and helped conserve water at the beach house. So many other places to visit for daytrips and so many places to explore within Cape Douglas. Overall this has been my favourite destination and accommodation through AirBnb so far .

Wow! What a nice stay - Kookaburra Cottage is so stylish, cozy, and convenient. We have done some farm style stays on our trip - this one was so fantastic as you really felt like you had tons of privacy while also seeing animals directly out of your windows! The nice surprise for us was the town of Mount Gambier. The town is only 10-15 minutes away by car and has lots to do. We enjoyed reading the hosts’ guidebook and finding things to do like local miniature golf and even the really well equipped (and brand new) recreation center. Of course, there are also many opportunities for snorkeling/scuba, walking/hiking, etc. If you are wondering if there is enough to do for a several day visit, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the area!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jenny’s place, homely environment and vibe. Host had really though of guest comfort. Highly recommend 😊
