Wine Farm Cottage

The cottage offers guests an unique opportunity to stay on a rustic working wine farm. It forms part of the farmstead of a historic wine farm, but has its own little garden with a view over vineyards. It is located on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, which makes it the ideal place to reside when exploring the many surrounding wineries and restaurants. The road may be a bit noisy, but most guests hear birds more often than they hear cars. The cottage was built in the 1980’s.

Located between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, a 25-minute drive from the CTown airport. While staying in one of our cottages, you will experience the feeling of a working farm, but still enjoy the beauty. Eerstebosch has four cottages, with a communal swimming pool and boma area. We are child-friendly but request that parents are extra careful around the open pool.

Avocado cottage is one of three cabins on the edge of a lake in the heart of the picturesque Banhoek conservancy. It is a light, modern cabin with a private, wood fired hot tub, access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the Western Cape. Although it is styled as a two person cabin, there is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for an extra fee. The deck of this cottage reaches out over the lake.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. Cabernet is one of six unique cottages set in scenic surroundings. A solar system is in place to counter load shedding and you will not be left in the dark.

Set on the historic wine farm Bo La Motte, 'The Lake House' is a brand new contemporary style house with stunning views over the farms main lake. Fully equipped with everything needed for self catering experience, only 10 mins walk into town. The house is perfect for self isolating and quarantining with a large lounge/dining room/kitchen opens onto the verandah with a beautiful seating area and barbecue. The 16 hectare farm a perfect place to exercise.

You’ll love the cottage because of the spacious, private, setting on a working wine and fruit farm nestled against the mountains of Franschhoek Valley. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.

Laundry washing machine available at R35 per load - liquid provided. You can lounge around, or visit the three wine farms bordering us (between 5 and 10min walks) as well as a great beer breweries. We are situated on the main road to Franschhoek - 5 min drive to the center of town.
