Family-friendly vacation rentals in Staveley

This was our second time staying at the property for our annual Christmas get away with friends. We could not ask for more. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed. From the pool table, karaoke machine and hot tub, these kept us entertained throughout a weekend of bad weather. Would not hesitate to stay again and look forward to booking our next stay here.

Beautiful cottage in what feels like a rural location after dark but only minutes from the M6. The cottage was spotlessly clean and super cosy. We felt right at home. Everything you might need is provided and the bed was super comfy. Would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely visit again for the accommodation and the location. All the information provided when booked and a guide book in the kitchen for anything else. A bottle of wine, tea, coffee, sugar and eggs were provided when we arrived which were an added loveliness.

The property was beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed the views and had everything we needed for our stay. There were 4 of us and we were very comfortable and felt at home. Louise was very quick to respond to any of our questions and we enjoyed the characters on the dogs popping by to say hello each day. Would highly recommended this stay

Fantastic place to stay a short drive from Windermere. Mark and Ruth were great hosts, very friendly and responsive. The private beach area is amazing. I would love to visit Mark and Ruth’s AirBnB again.

A brilliant stay, very relaxing and a great spot to unwind. The wood fired hot tub is a real highlight - Thank you for a lovely trip!

Ruths place is even better in person! Lovely little college with nice features. The bedding was cosy and the shower is nice and warm. There is a decent sized kitchen, which was helpful as due to the storms we spent more time inside than planned but we did feel at home. Upstairs was much bigger than it looks on the photos, gorgeous bedroom!. All the instructions were in the welcome pack! Can not comment on the hot tub as due to the storms. we could not use and that could not be helped but it looked great !!! Great spot, beautiful views, we particularly liked being surprised by the sheep who expectedly walked past to say hi when we were getting some fresh air in the morning. The wreath kept falling down because of the wind, so we left it on the ground in an attempt to avoid it spoiling xx

We spent a wonderful week in Mill Barn. Lots of small touches like flowers on arrival, brownies, milk in the fridge and the fire set up made the place really welcoming and inviting. Nice walk to the local pub but be prepared for the hill back up. Overall would highly recommend.

A lovely little cottage in a central location. Immaculately clean and very welcoming. Sandra is an excellent host ,very quick to respond to messages . We also received a message early on our arrival day to say that the cottage was ready for us which was nice .

Amazing overnight stay. Beautiful surroundings, the food In the pub was incredible. Especially the pies! Will be back again for sure. Hosts and everyone were so friendly, even being our 2 big dogs it was a great stay.

Fantastic place to stay. Cate thought of every last detail, from fresh chicken eggs to brownies to dog washing facilities, I was blown away. Exceptional value for money (especially as a solo traveller!)

Just back from a week staying at Ruby’s cottage. We (family of four - 2x teens) had a great time. The barns are nestled in a beautiful area with lovely views and lots of walks nearby. The cottage itself was homely, warm and well equipped. The eggs and apples left for us on arrival were very welcome. We had tasty apple crumble several nights running! The cottage is well placed for Windermere and Kendal and for trips further afield. We hiked most days and also visited the local towns for a wander and for coffee and cake breaks! Would definitely recommend Ruby’s cottage for anyone wanting a homely base to explore the wonderful Lake District.

My partner and I loved our stay here. The barn was beautiful and immaculately clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Fab location, very accessible to nearby towns and tourist attractions. The welcome pack and dog welcome pack were very nice touches too. Martin was extremely helpful and very friendly, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting the lake district. Thank you for having us 😊

John was always on hand to speak to. messaged quickly. perfect spot for us near the middle of Windermere. apartment was a great size and had all we needed.

Rented this for my stepson. He was very happy with accommodation and said it was very clean and tidy and had everything he needed. He would definitely recommend staying there.

Great place to stay, has everything you need was clean & tidy, lovely sitting outside in the evenings with the fire pit, 5mins from Amberside town witch has everything you need, lovely walks round the area, would recommend highly.

Really wonderful stay at Deborahs and Clives bungalow/ cottage! Really responsive to messages, whenever I had a question, they answered within minutes! Really clean and so cosy and warm too, towels were provided, wifi, everything that was desribed was shown, truly great place to stay. I think the one thing I would suggest is make sure to stay that extra night, checking in after 4pm and having to check out before 10am kinda cuts into the day, so stay longer to enjoy it! Also the hottub is awesome, but some lights would be nice outside to showcase the cute corner where the hottub is situated, especially in these months where it gets pitch black by 4:30pm 😂 But all in all, a wonderful stay and hope to come back in the near future!

We had a great stay at Whitbarrow. We have visited the resort before on many occasions. We had some minor issues in the accommodation which were swiftly resolved by Seasons staff. Kal and Anita were great to communicate with leading up to and during the stay also. Very responsive and helpful. Good facilities onsite too and helpful staff. Thank you

Andy provided clear instructions which helped us locate the cabin with ease. The cabin has a lovely cosy feel to it and has everything you’ll need. It’s also a great location with beautiful surroundings. Andy also provided some suggestions on what to do which was helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again. Having netflix was a great plus too!

The house is in a superb position overlooking Ambleside with all shops and amenities close by. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was warm despite some chilly weather. Kitchen has just about all the pots, pans and utensils that you could ever need so cooking meals in was made a lot easier. Having said that, the delights of Ambleside's pubs and restaurants are an easy walk DOWN into town. Don't forget the hill back home after a big meal with a couple of drinks! We wouldn't hesitate to book again.
