Cabin hideaway in a rural setting

The cabin is tucked away in the beautiful, unspoilt countryside of west Cornwall, between St Ives and Penzance and close to a choice of idyllic beaches. It has a double bed, plus sofabed, tea/coffeemaking facilities, a small fridge and microwave for your breakfast supplies and a great shower (hand and bath towels are provided). It's in a quiet hamlet with a great pub opposite, The Engine Inn ((URL HIDDEN) which has a great atmosphere, good food and regular live music. My husband Alan and I have lived in this house for over 20 years and raised our three children here in this lovely spot. We're on a B road which has buses to St Ives and Penzance stopping outside every hour, up until about 6pm. It's a fabulous place to stay and an ideal base to explore the moors and unspoilt countryside of West Penwith, not to mention the stunning beaches. We enjoy meeting new people we look forward to having guests come to stay and discovering the area. We are easy going types who are used to having a housefull! We both work; I am an educational home visitor for young disabled children and I also design and make silver and enamelled jewellery. Alan is a plumber and heating engineer. The cabin is opposite our house and you are welcome to use the patio outside the cabin where there is a bench and a picnic table. There is parking available just behind the accommodation. There is a sofabed which could accommodate a child (or two small ones, maybe!). There are tea and coffee making facilities and continental breakfast (cereal, muffins or bagels with jam and marmalade and juice) is provided and there is also a micowave. On a sunny morning it's lovely to sit outside and enjoy the peace and tranquility.... We look forward very much to meeting you!

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. Everything you could need had been thought of. Lovely tent with comfy beds, clean kitchen area and private bathroom. With only two tents it was very peaceful. A short drive to lovely beaches it’s in a great location. Jools and Phillip responded to any questions we had and were really helpful. We will definitely book here when visiting Cornwall again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a great stay at Simon’s! We went to my sister in law’s wedding across the road so the location was perfect. It is also just a few minutes away from the beach (lovely walk). The cottage is lovely and it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time there. Simon was great at getting back to us and answering all of our questions.

Shellseekers might just be a Cabin decorated in beach decor ( nicely ) but it’s actually something else - and I’ve tried to put a finger on it and come up with a NEW decorating style. Remember scandi huega ? Well Anne has encapsulated a new style and it’s “kindness “. The decor is thoughtful of everything you might need - the bunk bed has a light that won’t disturb others. There are quality items provided and you just know that Anne wouldn’t give you less than what she would want for herself. In jargon it’s “facilities “ but you realise that for Anne it’s not a “tick list” nor pride in her job. But kindness. I’d also add - don’t be put off by bunkbeds. The mattress was divine and I slept like a baby !

This was our second stay at Stephanie's place, which speaks to how much we like it! Stephanie is a very friendly and attentive host who makes the experience really enjoyable. She was able to provide covered storage for our bikes to keep them dry overnight, and she provided us with vegan options for breakfast at our request, which we really appreciated.

We had a delightful stay at Jayne’s place. Clean, spacious, comfy and charming cottage with everything you need from 10 minutes to the beach. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality stood out. One of the highlights was the fantastic breakfast each morning, fresh, local, and thoughtfully prepared. She also kindly recommended local cafés and excellent restaurants. If you're looking for a place with a warm, personal touch and a fantastic breakfast to start your day, I highly recommend staying at Jayne’s place.
