Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Speculator

We had an excellent experience at Trena’s house. We arrived for the eclipse, 6 adults and 3 young kids, and because of the snow storm day before, my plans of hiking in the woods became obsolete. And the rentals of crosscountry ski or snowshoes were already closed for the season. Trena got us sleds, so we had a great time sledding - at the snowy hill just at the end of the road, and at the already closed local skiing area. We had so much fun with everyone participated, it was a snow party for us. As to the house -it is really spacious and cozy, yet warm (do not understand how exactly it is heated, this is one of many secrets in the house). There are books and puzzles and many interesting items for kids to explore. The WiFi was good and some of us even ran a working zoom session. Also, there were treats! We were welcomed with a bottle of wind and a cake, and I wish I know the recipe of it 😊 So finally, we definitely loved the place and the host, and hope we could come again!

This is such a great place to go if your looking for a peaceful place. The location is quiet, and the views nearby are gorgeous! Absolutely would love to come again!

We have done three family trips to the cabin, each time better than the last. Duncan is always receptive and helpful and the place is perfect. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 6 couples who spent a weekend at Kathleen's house. Everything was top-rate; 6 comfy bedrooms, a great open living area for talking and hanging out; a beautiful and well-equipped kitchen for group meals, and with a dining table large enough to accommodate all of us; a lovely neighborhood for walks, and a very short drive into downtown Saratoga Springs for walking, shopping and restaurants. Kathleen was immediately responsive to any questions we had, and communications in all other respects were great. I can't think of a single negative to say, and would return in a heartbeat (and hope to do so next year).

The house was exactly what is pictured. We have been here a few times and each time we were not disappointed. Could use a couple full size mirrors but other than that the place was immaculate and Cindy is very responsive and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here 2 years ago and loved it. Decided to come back this year and was even better with the brand new upgraded decked backyard and stone patio fireplace area. Always a treat. Peaceful getaway. Good place to reset life for those who live a hectic daily life.

Tim place was beautiful and spacious. He communicated well before we arrived and made sure to introduce himself and give tips when we got to the house. The house was great for 8 people; definitely can hold more people. The house had all the amenities we needed and was only about 20-25 minutes from Lake George. We are planning on going back already!

Location worked perfectly for our two night stay in Saratoga. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The host was very friendly.

My best friend and I stayed here for the long weekend, it was very cozy & the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing! The electric fire was perfect at night, cozy couch, plenty of pillows. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner. Everything was nice and neat, the sheets were crispy clean, making it all too easy to get refreshing sleep! This was a great stay for us & we recommend that if you stay here you visit Saratoga Spa State Park, it is incredible!! Definitely will book again with Laney if we find our way out there again!

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Roberta’s place. This was our first visit to Saratoga Springs, and we wanted a quiet place that was convenient to downtown and that would allow us to fully experience the community. We felt at home from the moment we walked into the place. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the apartment was very comfortable. The unit was exactly as described and came with coffee for the coffee maker and even a package of scones for us to enjoy. It was a short walk to the restaurants and shops of downtown, and we felt safe walking at all times. Overall, we highly recommend Roberta’s place. We will definitely stay again the next time that our travels take us to Saratoga Springs.

Great private little basement apt for a weekend upstate. Easy, clear communication from Kelsea. And their dog is the sweetest!

Melanie is an amazing host. Her apartment is a lovely and cozy. Being in the main street, all you will ever need are right downstairs and street parking is a breeze especially when it’s not snowing. And I believe there is also parking on premises when it does snow. I was amazed to find such a gem of a place so close to where I was working. Will definitely be back

The Loft is great! The roads were well plowed despite pretty constant snowfall, which made for wonderful walking opportunities. Stargazers will love the dark skies--we saw the milky way, so many constellations, and many meteors on our walks (when it wasn't snowing). Also, there are so many great hiking trails within a half hour drive. Very quiet neighborhood, very close to the lake, and backs up to lovely woods. We really enjoyed the large fireplace and a generous supply of wood was provided. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal--bring your own consumables, of course. Raquette Lake is very small with one restaurant, but Inlet and Old Forge (which has everything!) aren't too far to the west. and Long Lake isn't too far to the east. Raquette Lake is truly a hidden gem.

This is my second stay at Mara's place and I absolutely love it. It is a sanctuary for me. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful surroundings. I loved my daily visits from her cats Kevin and Gus as well as my visits with her horses. I really love it when she leaves me eggs from her chickens!!!! I will be back. Thank you!!!!

We had a great stay in Pine Place cabin by Long Lake. The space was perfect for our 2 small families and we were pleasantly surprised to have access to a playground and beach toys for the kids. Unfortunately the Wifi was out during our whole stay. I think this was a fluke and owners didn't seem to understand what the issue was. Otherwise we loved everything about the place. The outdoor porch was really great and the bed were comfortable. Very clean and Danuta was easy to reach and communicate with. We'd definitely stay again!

The cabin was as described and more. Danuta has attended to simple details that made our stay wonderful. The cabin was clean and had plenty of towels and great parking. We had a much appreciated screened porch that kept the pesky bugs out while allowing us to enjoy the fresh air and lake view. We took advantage of using one of the canoes and had a wonderful time on the lake. There are plenty of welcoming amenities in the cabin, including a prepared fire in the fireplace grate....all we had to do was light it. The space was lovely and quiet. We truly had a great and relaxing stay.

We visited Stumble Abode over a long weekend. The beautiful cottage was clean and cozy. It was perfect for two adults and two small children. Parking was easy and close by. It had all the amenities we needed and more. We hope to visit again soon, and definitely recommend others to stay there!

Very timely. Had an emergent issue with another Airbnb while headed in from 3 hours away and this host accommodated us no issue at 7 pm ! Half way there
