Beachfront vacation rentals in Spanish Wells

Can’t believe I just stumbled upon this Airbnb. Loved it!! Will definitely be back again. My son and I felt right at home.

My family and I had a wonderful amazing stay at your home. Every day was a beautiful adventure, walking around the island and exploring the beaches and snorkeling. It was serene, rustic, and a breath of fresh air from our busy lives. Glad we brought food as the grocery stores were something to get used to, but it was an adventure, and everybody was so nice. We will for sure come back.

Beautiful spot right next to the sea. We felt very private. There are water shoes that can be used and are helpful to get into the water, as it is all rocks. Josette always replyed very fast to my questions, thankmyou so much for that! We really enjoed this gem.

We just returned from a 5-night stay at Buttonwood for Spring Break. We were a group of 5 with 3 children (aged 8, 12, and 15). The condo was clean, well-appointed and in a perfect location to explore the island. We took the golf cart to the private beach several times. We never saw another person - it's that secluded! We also rented a car and drove to several Caribbean side beaches to enjoy the calm waters for snorkeling. The condo is walking distance to a little beachside restaurant/bar called Leo Rose. We visited several times and were never disappointed. The grocery store attached to the gas station in James Cistern is surprisingly well stocked. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would return to Buttonwood. Matt, Tara, and Tia were all extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend renting from them.

This was our first trip to Spanish Wells. The beauty of the ocean is breathtaking. We own homes on the ocean in Maine and Florida and the view in Spanish Wells easily tops both of those locations. The cottage was nicely decorated and very clean. The view from the cottage was beautiful. Audrey, the neighbor and cottage caretaker was extremely kind and helpful. She quickly responded to our every need. We truly enjoyed our conversations with her. We would 100% return to this rental. Having said that I will tell you that we have travelled the world and stayed at over 100 Airbnb type rentals. The only downsides that we experienced here, which had nothing to do with the accommodations, were with regard to dining options on Spanish Wells. Compared to other vacations we have taken, the dining options are slim. Especially on Sundays. We didn't want to have to cook on vacation and it was tough at times to find open restaurants. 10/10 for the cottage and 5/10 for island dining.

We had a lovely stay at Sonshore Cottage! The house was clean, had a beautiful esthetic, extra beach towels were in the closet for our use, a soft cooler and plenty of ice packs were available for our beach outings, and more! Sarah was also a very responsive host providing us with a lot of local recommendations and help if we had any questions. We will definitely stay at Sonshore Cottage again when we return to Eleuthera!

Shes very sweet and nice, a great deal and good location, and shes very well connected.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house located on a magnificent white sand beach. The water is Cristal clear and when the tide is low you can walk through sand banks. The house is very close to a grocery store where you can find the basics. People are very friendly and there’s a fisherman dock 50 meters away. They sell very good fish and conchs. It’s good for stamina as they say 😉 The sharks pass by the dock sometimes

The Tree House is a bit of heaven. The view is unsurpassable. You feel as if you are part of the ocean at all times...there it is, RIGHT on your doorstep. The use of wood from the island makes Scott's home unique. Words really fail me. This is my husband and my dream home. It is simple, unintrusive and elegant. The beds are very comfortable. It is spacious, filled with light and loveliness.

Very nice hosts. Always eager to please. If you need anything, just ask. Have them direct you to a nearby convenience store for anything you need, too. Beautiful island and surroundings.

This is a rural island. Think castaway with WiFi/hot shower/kitchen amenities. No night life we could find but that’s ok. Just know you’re going for the solitude and ability to swim in a beautiful calm ocean and, one more thing: June’s house may look like a restaurant, but that’s their private home. She gives you access to all the toys underneath the home, though. I kayaked around the little island and that was fun.

Our stay at Slow & Easy was just fantastic. The Cottage was equipped as described, super clean and just beautiful. The surrounding was very calm and slow - perfect for relaxing. If you are lucky Scott will be there during your stay - he is very kind and gave us a lot of useful information. Beside from that it was very nice chatting with him whilst drinking a mojito ☺️. We highly recommend renting a car - you will need it. This is a very remote, calm place to stay. Don’t expect bars oder clubs. If you want to relax it’s the place to be. Amazing holiday, Spanish Wells is so laid back and if you can imagine paradise that’s what the beaches are like. Cozy Cottage is lovely, really well furnished and well stocked with kitchen equipment, we barbecued nearly every night. Had lobster a couple of times from Bernard a local fisherman. I would recommend Jody’s place to anyone. Thanks Jody for a truly memorable holiday and for organising a great trip to feed the turtles, swim with pigs and for everything. Claire & Dave

The owners who live on the property are very kind and were available when we needed anything. They also gave us tons of space . The house is large with all amenities. The place does not have a washer and dryer which would have been nice for our long stay with two kids. ( they do state this in the listing). Other than that, it has everything else you would need. The internet was a spotty at times. However maybe to be expected on an island. Great location and good price for the island

If you want to visit Spanish Wells, this is a perfect spot! Recommend renting a golf cart as soon as you get off the gov water taxi. We were just a very short walk from the beautiful beach with the sandbar that you could walk a mile on at low tide. There are several great restaurants on the island, and the locals are SO friendly and helpful. We also took a day trip to Harbor Island, but spent the majority of our time relaxing on Spanish Wells. Comfy, convenient, well appointed, easy to navigate from. You won't be disappointed staying here!

This little house was absolutely perfect…the beach is literally steps from the back door. We had every imaginable thing we needed or didn’t know we needed. Extremely well stocked, like you’re staying with friends. Our family of 5 did just fine with one bathroom , excellent use of space.

This home was centrally located for exploring all Eleuthera has to offer. The home had all the basics we needed. The view from the porch was beautiful. We loaded our car up each morning with the coolers provided and snorkel gear and explored the many beaches Eleuthera has to offer, it was an amazing experience. The host was always easy to get ahold of and responsive. Gaulding Cay and Receivers beach old boat dock were the best snorkeling we found. Lots of fish! Lighthouse beach point was well worth the long drive and hike. Jumping in the Sapphire Blue hole was also a highlight- as long as you have upper body strength to pull yourself back out. Keep in mind most grocery stores close early or aren't open on Sundays. All the locals were so friendly and helpful. It was an amazing adventure! Thank you!!

Perfect! Cobalt Cottage was everything and more! We loved every moment we spent inside the cottage. Our kids enjoyed catching hermit crabs and playing on the slide / swings! The screened in porch was the place to be, and was so peaceful. Adrian, the property manager, was so helpful and made sure we knew where to go and how to get there; he even help set up a boating experience, it was amazing. It was nice having him close by, always ready to help if needed! We felt safe the entire time, and everyone on the island were so nice. We used Chad and Hope’s guide a lot, it was so helpful and informative. Everything we did was based on this guide and it did not steer us wrong! We will definitely be back; our kids (4, 7, 10) were so sad to leave, so were we!

We absolutely loved our stay at Vaughn’s place! The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous, and having the beach right out front made our vacation exactly what we needed. Our taxi was arranged at the airport, and Johnny and Nancy picked us up at the port, handed off our golf cart and took our luggage to the house. The mattresses are very firm and not the most comfortable, but we would come again.
