If you like to be outside the city, then stay here! Spaciousness and serenity that is hard to find in HK. Be prepared to cook some of your own meals because local eating options are limited. There is plenty to explore on Lantau Island. And fresh air! Highly recommended!!

Want to give my endorsement for Alex's place. It is a larger place, by Hong Kong standards, and that's good for families. There are two full baths plus one additional toilet. The master suite is big with a good desk with monitor. Everyone needs to take their work with them these days, and that was a plus for me. Big living room with JUMBO flat screen. We brought our console and played video games "life sized"! Cold airconditioning for the hottest days this summer I'm sure. A little girls room and a boys room, again good for family stay. The beach behind is good for kids with a warm shallow baywater, no big waves... playground on the beach. The plaza nearby has everything needed, grocery store, restaurants, bars, MickyD's. Note to those familiar with Discovery Bay, the plaza is undergoing a long term renovation. You are going to find "old" restaurants gone and new ones in different spots. And there is a trampoline in the backyard! Easy check in/out. Also ice rink in plaza.

Our stay at this grand house with its fabulous lake view was nothing short of amazing. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a cpmpoetable and quiet stay. Dora and JP were very responsive. Charlie was incredibly hospital, ensuring our privacy and cpmfort. Located just 10mins drive from Sai Gpng town. We had a wonderfullly relaxing vacation and highly recommend this property foe anyone seeking a serene retreat.

Mark is super friendly and helpful. He came to help us with luggage and even came to deliver extra spotlight for our BBQ. He even made an impromptu door stopper for our dogs. Very impressed and will definitely come again.

lovely house and kind host who is responsive to questions and assistance. the house is in a very good location, only a short walk to Pui O Beach and restaurants, taxi stand and bus stop only a minutes walk away. the house has plenty of room and facilities which is a nice surprise (a very welcomed feel) compared to accommodation in the central of HK! would definitely stay again if visiting the area :)

Fantastic stay at Pete's place. We had an issue with the electricity but Pete responded immediately and got it sorted. This was our second stay and we will be staying again 3 times this year. Great place to stay in Happy Valley.

The location of the flat was exceptional! The size was also fantastic - very spacious for a one bedroom flat. My husband and I had our family over for dinner on Christmas Eve and the flat comfortably accommodated 6 people around the white drop-leave table. Marie-Lorraine was responsive to questions and requests for information. We will stay here next time we travel to HK. Since the flat doesn’t have WiFi, you may want to secure a device if you plan to work or use the TV while you’re there. We tried to use our phones but they were too slow. Easy fixes are available for next time. Enjoy - I highly recommend!

Malo's place is a small slice of peace and quiet in the bustling of Hong Kong. Not only is it located in the most charming part of the city full of small cafes and across from a few colorful basketball courts, the layout of the apartment makes you feel immediately at home. The rooftop is exceptional. A nice place to rest after a day of adventure. As a host, Malo was kind and attentive. With small touches that made his home feel like a hotel. Communication was consistent and check in was a breeze. I would totally stay again.

The place is really quite and cozy. I like this place. Both Kennedy town and HKU MTR stations are close. It is fit for one or two persons. Overall, Hong Kong has a lot of stairs and if you have a big luggage then it could be a little bit problematic.

This trip has meant a great deal to me as I used to live here years ago in my childhood- revisiting HK was a dream made even more special thanks to Marcos. His place was exactly as described and more. The coolest airbnb I could’ve asked for! He was very understanding and easy to reach- helpful with local reccomendations also. I felt very at home as soon as I entered the space. If you’re thinking of staying in Stanley, I would choose this place as great value for money and great location due to straight access to both bus station and beach. Thanks Marcos !! 😊

We had a great stay at Sertac and Lisa’s place. It was the perfect size and set-up for our family, the location was very convenient, and the air-conditioning was perfect for the hot days. We’d happily stay again next time we were in Hong Kong!

Christine is nice host, her place is amazing, best location for work and site seeing. Nice Chinese restaurant and michelin restaurant, less than 5 minutes walking. Downstairs is SOHO PMQ, close to LKF, super convenient to meet friend to have a drink.

We just returned from three nights at Tess’s beautiful place in Central. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Not only is Hong Kong so much fun, particularly the area where Tess is apartment is located, but the apartment itself is lovely. Tess has beautiful taste. The apartment is well appointed, very comfortable, and prrfect for two people. It looks just like the photos and is an oasis in a very lively city. With a bonus of a great deck, Would certainly like to come back to Hong Kong and Tess’s place again. Thank you, Tess!

We were a party of 5 adults (2 couples and 1 adult child) and Ning’s flat was perfect — it was spacious, nicely furnished, and comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms and a large living/dining space was a huge plus. We didn’t feel like we were living on top of each other and were able to enjoy leisurely breakfasts and snacks together around the table while enjoying the view of west Kowloon harbor. We especially loved the location and easy access to the MTR. Walking around and exploring the neighborhood (from TST to Mong Kok) was amazing, and the food (dim sum, BBQ, clay pot rice, hot pot) was endless (chef’s kiss)! For dessert, we recommend Shari Shari (on Waterloo) for shaved ice — the serving was as big as your head (seriously!). Ning was a great (English speaking) host — flexible (she let us check in early), communicative, friendly, and responsive (provided extra coffee pods and blanket w/in 24 hours). In summary, Ning’s flat was an ideal place for our group. 5 stars!

Vladimir's place is a unique treasure in Hong Kong, highly recommended for both singles and families alike who want to see the other side of Hong Kong which is quiet and closer to nature. Check in is very easy and straightforward, and Vladimir provides guests with a pdf file file giving comprehensive details not only about the flat, but also Lamma Island in general, which is really great for people not so familiar with Lamma Island.

Not much to say: absolutely great place and host.

While the location is about a 20-30 min walk to either beach, it is very easy to get to the closest bus stop. Be sure to download the Lantau Bus app for bus arrival times. There are some great hikes right from the flat that are amazing and not to be missed by outdoor enthusiasts. Be sure to get details from the hosts’ convenient orientation binder. The flat itself is great. Very clean with cozy furnishings and well supplied with everything you need for a home. Mobile service is almost non-existent in the village, but the WiFi covers most of the voids created by this. The WiFi has great coverage and speed making remote work very achievable. The hosts are very responsive, friendly and helpful. They make themselves available if needed and were a pleasure to stay with. If you are looking for an alternative to the dense urban environment of HK island, this is a great option for up to 4 or 5 people!

Pros: 1. In Hong Kong, this two-bedroom apartment is considered relatively spacious and comfortable. 2. The mattress is hard enough to sleep comfortably. 3. Austin MTR station - 8 minutes walk. 4. PARKnSHOP Supermarket - 5 minutes walk 5. Red Tea Cafe (address: King's Court, 65-75 Wai Ching St, Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong) - 6 minutes walk. I almost went there daily for breakfast - HKD $39. Breakfast is very good with very good Hong Kong milk tea. 6. Yau Ma Tei Wholesale Fruit Market - 16 minutes walk. Some fruits are from Japan and other countries. 7. The building is very safe with 24-hr security at the lobby. 8. The building has its own shuttle to Austin MTR and Kowloon MTR station every 30 minutes up to 9:30 pm on weekdays and 10:30 pm on weekends. 9. 2-in-1 washer and dryer is easy to use, take an hour to wash; dryer can completely dry clothes and towels. 10. Enough Kleenex and bathroom tissues. Cons: 1. There is construction nearby. So there are some places to take a detour.
