Comfortable Cottage style home with 3 bedrooms, private baths. Many amenities. Two living areas for everyone's comfort, a beautiful kitchen, a large private outdoor patio with multiple seating, a fire pit and a gas grill. Backyard is partially shared. Just minutes from the harbor and Acadia National Park Trail ( Wanderland Trail), you can smell the salt air from this 4 bdrm/2 bath home among the trees. This house is located on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. This property is a well landscaped yard with water fountain and bench in the fenced in backyard. Roughly 2 miles from southwest harbor town line, close to the Lighthouse and Acadia national park, the road is a quiet dead end.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb! It is in a nice spot and is very quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and baking (perfect for a longer stay). The driveway was always plowed quickly after snowfall which was very helpful. It’s a pretty drive to Acadia and close to Ellsworth. This is a great place to stay!

I can't say enough great things about my stay. very spacious and accommodating. It felt like my home away from home. I will definitely be staying here for any future visit. It's far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful and serene yet close enough to the city that you won't have to travel too far. The host made me feel very welcome in her home, and was very quick to respond to any questions I had.

We loved staying at Scott’s place as it was walkable to so many great spots Portland has to offer. The neighborhood was beautiful with a lot of people out walking their dogs and enjoying the fall weather. We felt very at home and the space was perfect for the 4 of us and our two Frenchies. The beds and bedding were very comfy and the lighten had everything we needed! The only things that we think others would want you to know is the entry is on the side of the house, not the front. The listing mentioned flags neat entry but there were no flags which made it a little confusing. Also, the bathroom door doesn’t latch all the way so there is a bit of space where you can see in. We used a the toilet paper holder to keep the door fully closed while in use. A simple door stop to use from the inside would be a simple fix. Again, we loved the space and would recommend to anyone wanting the perfect stay in Portland.

Our stay at Laurel Shore Cottage was just what we needed. The location was serene - and we spent most afternoons and evenings sitting on the porch soaking in the beautiful landscape and scenery. The cottage itself was uncluttered and comfortable and the host was very responsive.

We had a great off-season stay! The kids and dog loved playing in the snow in the large yard and sledding down gentle hills. The driveway directly in front of the house is steep, and was icy during our stay (due to weather conditions out of Sarah’s control) - but Sarah was proactive about having it sanded and safe for us to load/unload, and maintained regularly during our stay. The view of the harbor from the top of the dock ramp was stunning with the fresh snow, and the stars on a clear night breathtaking.
