Kid-friendly vacation rentals in South Thomaston

This was the perfect rental for our family of 4 for the thanksgiving holiday. The home had everything we needed and wanted, great location within walking distance of so many great places in Rockland, and was clean and comfortable. Alicia went out of her way to provide recommendations for our stay! This is probably the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at and the most helpful host we’ve encountered. Highly recommend and thank you to Alicia and family for making our week so enjoyable while spending time with our kids on their college break.

We’ve stayed at Kent’s property several times and it is always a wonderful respite from the hustle-bustle of life. Staying in such a beautiful home only minutes away from my son and family is an extra benefit to staying with Kent who also lives very close. There’s really no need for us to look into any other Airbnb. This has it all!

Cammie's home was right out of a beautiful coastal homes magazine. The coastal furnishings and touches were fun and lent to the overall vibe of being near the beach and ocean. The beds were very comfortable with layers of warm, quality bedding. The kitchen was very nicely equipped with all the tools necessary to cook and dine in. The path to the beach was well-worn, leading to one of the most beautiful dawn to dusk, breathtaking views. Truly the nicest AirBnB experience I've had.

Incredible spot, was a huge fan of the bathroom and the disco ball downstairs. Would definitely stay again 🫶🏻

Kinfolk cottage was fabulous! Beautiful home, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, large dining area, and a lovely backyard with fire pit and hammock! Wish we could have stayed longer it was a true home away from home! Perfect for our family getaway to Acadia. Walkable to town and minutes to the park. Anne was a lovely host and was very responsive! Even my kids commented on how great the house was compared to other Airbnb experiences! We hope to return next year! Thank you Anne!

Casa Gris was a wonderful place to stay at for our vacation to Acadia national park. It was only a 10 minute drive to the park. The house was well kept, had great amenities and an awesome tv set up. 10/10 would recommend for the price and opportune location.

The Pleasant House was a perfect fit for a sisters getaway. So spacious and well appointed. The short walk into town to shop or have a bite to eat was so convenient. We just happened to be there for the buoy tree lighting and Holiday parade weekend. Downtown decorations were so festive. I would highly recommend this home for your Rockland/mid coast vacation!

Susan's place is a fantastic base for a stay in Portland. The apartment is just as described--well appointed and extremely comfortable. (The only caution is that it is accessed by two flights of steep stairs plus steep front steps, which may not be everyone's cup of tea.) The off street parking is invaluable and the location is easy to access and convenient to all of downtown Portland. Finally, Susan is a considerate and friendly host.

The home was beautiful and exactly as described. It was stocked with everything we could have needed including coffee and coffee filters! It was the perfect location so close to downtown Portland. The area was quiet and walkable to restaurants and coffeehouses.

Great, cozy apartment! We stayed here with our two kids and had plenty of room! We loved everything about Belfast and loved being able to walk to everything around us! Diane was so sweet and accommodating!

Second stay and I'll be back. It is easy to make yourself at home here. It's not fancy, it's comfortable - love the new sofa! The apartment is full of light even on grey winter days and the location between East Bayside and Munjoy can't be beat.

This was a lovely and homey place to land for a few days while I attended a conference up the road. It was cozy yet spacious, with all the necessary amenities

To be honest possibly the best Airbnb I've ever had. Stayed here two different times a year apart and it was great both times. Looks exactly like the pictures and everything is in pristine condition. My girlfriend and I especially liked the huge and fully stocked kitchen and the living area TV setup. The furniture was clean, super comfortable and perfect for a cozy home cooked meal and movie night at home after a long hike. The large comfy armchair was so nice that it inspired us to get something similar for our home. Also, the location is great. It's only a 30 minute drive from Acadia and it's like 0.2 miles from the center of town with all the bars and restaurants. The host has thought of all the small things like automatic night lights in the bathroom, plenty of pillows and a blanket for the couch, spare batteries in the drawer and maps and guides for Acadia.

We loved our stay. The space was beautiful and so convenient to get to great food, shopping and entertainment. Scott let us know that there was a lighted parade of boats in the harbor on one of the nights we were there which we would not have known otherwise. Beds were incredibly comfortable, kitchen was perfect and overall just a really great experience. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Portland.

Gerry's place was perfect for our stay in Portland. My 3 adult children and I had plenty of room. The house is close to the Old Port, the highway and other Maine points of interest. We were close to our relatives' house for Thanksgiving! I would highly recommend Gerry's place!!

As a return guest we know we are able to make the most of the unique space, it's rooftop water views, and comfy amenities. If you're looking for a great location with access to all Portland has to offer than this is it. We plan to come back again and have encouraged others headed to Portland to do the same.

Pat’s place was clean & cozy for our quick trip to Scarborough. While small it had everything we needed during our short stay.

It was a great place! Very close to the restaurants in town! Very clean, safe, and exactly as pictured.

We’ve stayed at Dave’s condo a couple of times now. Each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is in such a wonderful location in South Portland and Dave is very communicative and friendly with anything we may need. Definitely recommend a stay if you’re looking to check out the Portland area and enjoy some beach time while you’re at it!
