Castle vacation rentals in South Italy

Gessica and her husband were wonderful hosts! They really deserve more than 5/5! From the first contact for booking, Gessica wanted to see how she could best accommodate us. She had gluten free snacks for my daughters and I and made us a delicious breakfast that included gluten free pancakes! She recommended a lovely restaurant in town that’s had delicious antipasti and pasta. She also helped set up guided horseback riding and we got to see the beautiful countryside. It was amazing to stay in a castle! The accommodations were like the photos and the location is just beautiful. Gessica and her husband really went above and beyond to host us. If we ever make it back to Italy again, we would love to come back to stay here again! Thank you both so much for such a lovely time in San Marco dei Cavoti!

We had a really good week in the chapel of the masseria. Really unique place! Cozy furnishings too. Very quiet and yet close to a shopping center. Private terrace on the east side (morning sun) and we could also sit in the shade in the communal garden. By the way, we had that to ourselves during the day. There was a cat and there were four super sweet kittens, turtles, dogs, chickens and roosters (and almost every morning fresh eggs!). We visited many places in the Salento. Everything is very easy to reach. Matilde was always ready for us if we had any questions. We enjoyed very much! Arriverdeci, ciao!

A pleasant experience, Gisella is a precise, friendly and passionate owner, the rooms are furnished with taste and respect for the history of the place. Gisella's tips on farm and typical trattorias were all great

One of the most amazing places to stay ever! The last stop of a 9 month trip, Castello del Duca was the best way to cap off our journey. The grounds are wonderful to stroll around, the Barone room was beautiful and had everything you need, and the service from the staff was top notch. Super easy to get into Rome via public transportation. 10/10 would recommend.

The host was very helpful and kind. The caretaker was extremely responsive and helpful. The property is well cared for. It was a little tricky entering the property (Waze and google maps led us down an incorrect street), but the caretaker met us and guided us to the appropriate gate. Do not miss an opportunity to stay here. Beautiful town, great food and shopping. Beautiful property inside a castle with an ocean view. Approximate 30 mins from Pompeii. Perfect ❤️

Great and beautiful garden setting. Would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the garden. Loved the town of Vico Equense. Some amazing food places. Felt very welcome in this very unique place. The apartment is very intimate but comfortable.

Great value for the money. Outside Todi, which makes it an ideal location to explore little villages around like Orvieto and Civita. It’s so nice to have the car parked right there and not worry about parking in the old town. Rooms are lovely, with a stone ceiling and yet modern bathroom and heating - AC. Breakfast is lovely and the food abondant. It’s truly magical to stay at some 15th century castle. Would highly recommend.

What an interesting place to stay and Stefano was totally brilliant in looking after us from start to finish. Even though my Italian is very bad he was very attentive and helpful. Lovely little town with stunning views. Thanks Stefano!

Clean and spacious rooms with air condition. I can recommend the accomodation! The kids very much enjoyed the pool.

What a privilege to be able to stay in a castle with beautiful appointed rooms and all the modern facilities you can think of. Lorenza and Giuseppe were lovely and proactive hosts - even providing beach towels and bicycles. The kitchen was filled with cookies, fruit , a lovely bottle of wine and all the condiments you can think of. It’s really a home from home. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again soon.

This was the best property we have ever stayed in. Really a dream property - Lorenzo the host is lovely, answered us within minutes and helped with everything we needed. The house is just spectacular in its beauty, a rustic and special house with a magical yard, a comfortable kitchen where we have prepared a number of meals and a warm atmosphere. The rooms were clean and tidy, the place was big and inviting and the yard is just dreamy. There was a response to everything we needed. I have no words to even recommend from most we had a good time. Thank you so much

Very nice place. Unique with a peaceful garden with pool in walking distance to a cozy town. The pool was about 22-23 degrees at the end of September I guess and it was delicious on sunny days. The kids of 2 and 5 appreciated the peace and we felt they were welcome. Might not want to go here if I had very loud and noisy kids because I would feel like they were disturbing the peaceful vibe. The rooms were very nice, loved the contrast with the classic art and modern architecture. A very minor detail was that the shower heads were a bit bad, I would change them with someone who provided a quieter and wider jet, but that's the only thing I can think of.

Our stay was amazing..views were incredible. The terrace with jacuzzi was a fantastic feature to come home to after a day of touring. The place is very spacious spread out over 3 levels and well stocked with all the basics. This is definitely a hidden gem. We were also fortunate to find parking right on the street infront of the airbnb Alessandra was very responsive and provided us some great local recommendations. We would love to come back.

Charming home and town. We found Leah’s home a great base to explore Tivoli and local sites like Val D’Este and Villa Adriana. The location is so very beautiful and the view from the bedroom balcony is spectacular. Leah was an incredibly helpful host and has super recommendations. I would happily recommend to friends and family. We really enjoyed the small fruit store and grocery in the castle grounds and Marconi restaurant/cafe just two minutes away.

Great place to stay.Beautiful scenery and ambience.Felt like I was living like a local and got an authentic experience of being secluded in an Italian countryside.Great experience to see the old charm of seein how a noble lived in a castle and beautiful architecture.Very classic, luxury, elegant feel.Alex and his Mom and Dad were very welcoming, friendly people.Very nice of them to let us experience their beautiful home.Always responsive to any of our needs.Thanks again, much appreciated and would highly recommend.

We stayed at the beautiful place for 7 days. We were received by Gianluca and Rita super friendly. We felt right at home. The apartment was very clean, was super equipped (more than you are used to from an apartment). If you thought "Ah , that would be good to have" it was there. Otherwise, you could contact Gianluca and within seconds the wish was granted. He went above and beyond, even took us to shop. That was super sweet. The views here are stunning. The area is very very quiet. On the beach you were almost alone. Very pleasant. You can walk to the town in 15-20 minutes. There you could visit cute little restaurants. All around , even with our two dogs, it was perfect. The property is very pet-friendly. Our highlight was that after we asked Gianluca, we were allowed to pick figs from his garden. Indescribably delicious and an incredible holiday feeling!Glad to come back

We had a wonderful eight days at Maria Gabriella's B&B. She was very helpful in suggesting sites to visit and restaurants. Overall, a great experience.

From the very beginning, we felt very welcome – the contact was great, and any questions or requests met with an immediate, kind response. The property itself delighted us with the cleanliness, aesthetics, and attention to every detail. You can see that hosts put their heart into what they're doing, both in maintaining the space and their relationships with guests. This is one of those places you want to come back to and we would not hesitate to recommend to others. Thanks for everything – it was really good days!

very, very good hospitality...very smiling and accommodating. nte...the building is superb and the accommodation in good general condition with a huge terrace with sea view is very nice ...an area for the barbecue is provided. Our host was very kind to us...the accommodation is very clean ...small downside the access not very convenient very good stay thank you to our hostess 😄
