Ugly Marlin oceanfront cottage

What a wonderful place! The interior decor was a nice mix of modern yet cozy. The living room is very comfortable (nice TV and several soft blankets to use) and there's a full dining table. The bedrooms had a lot of storage space and the bed was very comfortable. Both bathrooms had lots of storage space and a nice shower. The view from the kitchen and front porch was amazing, and the kitchen had everything you could want with very nice appliances. While there is some traffic on the road in front of the house, it really didn't detract from the beautiful view. You can walk across the street and down some stairs and be on the beach. It was a short drive into town for restaurants, groceries (Safeway) and the parks visitor center. We enjoyed meals at Fisherman's Restaurant, SeaQuake Brewing, and takeout pizza from SeaFront Baking Company (which is also a bakery). All communication with Janice was friendly, helpful and prompt. We would definitely recommend the Ugly Marlin!

We stayed here for my wife’s 60th birthday. There was plenty of room for everyone and lots to do around. The sound of the ocean at night from the master bedroom was amazing. Everything was clean and tidy. You can walk to the lighthouse and there are several places to eat within walking distance. There were lots of attractions around. I would stay here again if the opportunity arose. Thanks for the great memories, Dave.

We had a wonderful stay! Home is exactly as advertised, exceptionally well stocked, clean and roomy. Great location for peaceful visit to northern Cali beaches, touring redwoods, etc. Sandy had super recommendations for kids and adults alike, and was very responsive to our questions. After traveling a very long day from the east coast, we found Mitch’s small cottage was exactly as he described on line. It’s a perfect location for exploring the Oregon coast and Redwood National Parks. The cottage felt safe and comfy, with a view of the water and a short walk down to the beach. The sunsets and sound of the ocean was so soothing after some of our long hikes in Prairie Creek. Thanks Mitch. This was our first time visiting the west coast and it was so perfect it was hard to leave!

Beautiful place to stay! The amazing sandy beach is just 3min walk away, or the mouth of the river just 2min walk. And, the big backyard is just perfect for kids and pets! Of course the pool was a big hit with our kids! Great location to discover the beautiful nature around, while feeling like you are glamping at a great place. Really recommend!

What a great Airbnb! We stayed only 2 nights on our road trip down the Coast but easily could have stayed longer. The bed was extremely comfortable! It was centrally located with lots of places to eat around. It was a perfect base for exploring the redwoods! I also liked the little touches for example, a seperate towel for removing make up, I commented on this multiple times to my partner.

Cozy Ocean Front Retreat w/Private Hot Tub!

This place is a gem of a find. For a group of 7 and 2 small pets this place is a godsend. I suppose this place will be busy late Spring and all Summer but I’m glad I got the chance to stay here. Our itinerary involves staying a full day to visit the Redwood State Parks and I know there’s only select places to visit given such very limited stay, but it was forecasted to be rainy the exact day! It was a storm and a whole lotta wind and rain. Our group was headed to Oregon coast the following day (also rainy😅) so we decided to just explore the place in the morning and stay in. It was the best decision we made! The place, the community, the vibe had so much to offer. Writing this review I know I may have a slim chance booking this place again in the summer but I sure would love to be back and book the same exact cabin again! Thank you Carina!🙏🏻

We had a great time at Kelle’s place! It was a little cold with lots of rain, so we tucked in for a week of relaxing and had a great time. The ocean was still beautiful and we walked from the house several times! There were lots of hiking opportunities within a 30 minute drives, and anything within the city was within a 5 minute drive
