Vacation rentals with a balcony in South Athens

My husband and I stayed here for seven nights in November. The location is great for accessing the airport since it's a quick walk to and from a metro station. The area itself has great cafés and restaurants. The apartment is very spacious with a lovely roof top terrace. Previous reviewers commented on noise from local bars but we didn't hear anything. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the hosts' friendly and quick communication.

I keep coming back as Ira & Oleg make it so easy to be in their place. Quick and flexible check-in and check-out. Communication has always been quick and efficient. Thank you.

It was a great stay. The apartment is very nice and very well located. The host proved super helpful when we needed it. The only tip would be to put the door in the bathroom box because we ended up feeling cold without it at the time of the bath.

Incredible place, just steps from the Acropolis Museum and metro station, but also very peaceful when inside. Huge apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 living rooms (maybe could be used to sleep), and full kitchen. We used the outdoor balcony patio for breakfast too. Bathroom not quite as spacious but that wasn’t an issue. The 3 air conditioners kept the place nice and cool even in the Athens summer. An AB City grocery store is just around the corner for supplies too.

This is a wee gem and a whole lotta more comfortable, clean, and homey than one normally gets on an air bnb. The neighbourhood is easily walkable with something new happening on each block. Very comfortable, safe vibe. Apparently it was aliitle like Athens used to be in the 60's. It feels like real Greek families live here and students, younger people abound. The restaurants and cafes, within cooee, range from 5 star down to your favourite family cafe. We felt so at home we booked in on our way back through Athens. The host is wonderfully clear, responsive and understanding. Would definitely recommend this place.

It’s a very well connected place and our host was very communicative! The neighborhood is not super touristy but not far from area connected to acropolis. We enjoy our stay a lot!

The apartment is lovely, clean, well appointed, as described in the listing, and well located, but yes, the roof deck is fantastic! There is a view of the Acropolis from the roof deck. Our check in was easy and flexible. The location is so close to everything, but relatively quiet at night. There was some noise at night, but it usually subsided by 10:30 pm. It is close to the subway and so many of the local attractions. We could just pop back into the apartment for water, a rest, a bathroom break, whatever, while we explored the city. Tons of restaurants just a short walk away. We would definitely rent this apartment again if we return to Athens.

Anna and her team were spectacular. They always responded to all of our questions quickly. They were helpful with anything we needed. The Airbnb was exactly what you would picture Greece to be. Perfect for what we needed: a family and a couple travelling, so the en suite bedroom downstairs + the upstairs bedrooms with shared bathroom were great. Kitchen is amazingly stocked and the outside terrace is a haven of peace. Host always responsive immediately. Thank you for a great stay!

This chic home was in the perfect location for our week in Athens. Sitting in a peaceful pedestrian enclave in the “old” part of the city, only a moments walk from the Areopagus, Ancient Agora, Acropolis, Filopappou Hill, a wonderful variety of restaurants & so much more! Vasilis was our friendly and thoughtful host. He couldn’t have done more to make our visit to his city a happy & memorable one. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home & comfortable in this well equipped, spotlessly clean home. Our Welcome Hamper with cereal, fruit, milk, water, bread, biscuits & cheese was very much appreciate. We chose to spend part of every day relaxing on the spacious roof terrace. It really does have the most mesmerising views! It might be worth knowing however, that at the time of our visit, there was noisy construction work going on next door due to a house being built on one side and maintenance work being done to an adjoining house on the other side!

We had a wonderful stay in that little, very well renovated apartment. The garden with its view over Athens is unbeatable and the small room upstairs is very charming! The apartment has a lovely and well maintained atmosphere and offers a kitchen and bathroom with everything a family needs. Even binoculars! The bed downstairs maybe is a little small for two adults and the room has no air conditioning, which for october is fine but still a bit warm. The couch in the living room can be easily converted into a bed with a very firm mattress. We liked the area a lot, it’s quiet (though a primary school is next door) and we loved to sit on the terrace and enjoyed the view and the little garden! With metro and a little walk you can easily reach it after your adventures down in Athens! Gianni and his lovely mom gave us very warm welcome and showed us everything! Also he was very helpful with any questions we had. We recommend this home away from home and would definitely come back!

I recommend staying at Alex’s apartment. The location is great - it’s on walkable distance to all the famous attractions. The apartment is well equipped with everything needed for short stays. Alex is very responsive host - he sent me clear check-in instructions, as well as local recommendations.

This place is verry nice and easy to find. Host is verry reactive to all messages, and helpfull. I recommend this place!

Great little Airbnb in Koukaki! < 5 min from a bus stop, < 10 min from a train station. Lots of taxis in the area as well. Apartment was nice

Loved the location, a few minutes walk to the Metro Station in one direction, and to the supermarket in the opposite direction. The parking space was useful when we didn't want to drive out. The entrance lock was high-tech. Lots of power sockets around the place, and lots of extra towels provided. Yannis was kind enough to give us an early check-in and a late checkout, which was much appreciated. The place was very spacious and comfortable and Yannis even provided bedroom slippers and a sewing kit. We were met by his associate at check-in, who showed us around. There were bakeries and cafes around the area. Would definitely recommend the place.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. Yannis and Helene are excellent communicators and wonderful hosts. At one point, I locked my keys in the Airbnb and they graciously and promptly helped us get back in. I greatly appreciated their hospitality.

Great place to stay. Central. Right next to Acropolis metro. Direct access to Plaka and easy to walk to Monastiraki. Clean and spacious washroom. I would go back in a heartbeat:)

Great place to stay. Apartment is very nicely decorated and offers all comforts. The natural light and balconies of this apartment is rare to find among Athens’ apartments. The hosts have thought of many small details that made our 1 week stay easy and carefree, will definitely try and visit again! Thanks for the hospitality!

We had a lovely couple of days. Dimitris met us on arrival (after 11pm). It was fantastic having a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival especially so late at night. He was so god in providing us with additional information/ places to eat for my birthday & directions / tips for the football. 100% would recommend this accommodation.
