Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Somerford Lagoon

Brett’s house was exactly what we (a family of 4 travelling from far overseas) needed for a home-from-home. Warm and cosy, and with a fully-equipped kitchen and plenty of bathrooms, it was a shame to move on. Our teenage boys found plenty to do, from the piano to puzzles and games to an amazingly-stocked and diverse library of books. The location was ideally-suited for us, easy to walk into town, but equally easy to get out to the motorway and beyond within a few minutes. As host, Brett was responsive, yet respectfully distant. Everything was set for us to arrive easily following unplanned travel delays. We would definitely stay again.

Celina was a perfect host and we couldn’t be happier with the break. 2 males looking for country pubs and restaurants to enjoy the 6 nations rugby. Winchcombe was fantastic with very friendly locals and business. Like Celina was a massive help and responsive to messages that were so helpful. Definitely recommend and hope to be back 1 day.

Absolutely loved staying at the Coach House. Beautiful, spotlessly clean, dog friendly, lots to do in the pretty village of Bourton and central to all amenities. Loads of walks from the door too. Private parking is very handy. Comfortable beds. Lovely log burner with logs etc provided. Would definitely stay here again. Ian was very easy to get in touch with, quick to respond and extremely pro active and helpful.

We had a lovely stay, the house was well decorated and very clean. It looked just like the photos. Host was excellent with great communication. I would highly recommend this house it was in a great location and close to the main town. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our stay with Danny and Ellie was wonderful! Was super cosy and comfortable, our hosts were so helpful and we appreciated their communication so much! Stunning place within walking distance of the village, (about a 10 minute slow stroll). Co-op also about a 3 minute walk away! There are beautiful places to eat and drink in Bourton-on-the-water, a must visit for a chilled wholesome weekend. The bedroom was lovely and warm, perfect for spring mornings, and the living area was exactly what we were after! The enterainment on the TV was fab too as got to have a girly night in on sunday which was gorgeous! Bathroom was also really lovely! Bourton-on-the-water is a slice of heaven, and Ceres Corner is the most perfect place to stay! Would love to return in the future!

We loved our stay at Dove Lodge, great hosts, great location and beautiful accommodation. We stayed with our 11 month old and he loved exploring the garden!

We had a great stay at Julia’s lovely cottage. It was my parents first time visiting the Cotswolds and the location around Brimscombe/Stroud really lends itself as a great base to adventure out from. The house itself was very well equipped and really had everything you would need for a country escape

This is a lovely cottage with everything you need and is in a perfect location. Loved staying here and would thoroughly recommend.

We had an incredible stay. Ann really made us feel at home, and the house is amazing. Lots of space for a group of 7 adults and 1 toddler. The hot tub and pool really made our weekend extra special.

Had a wonderful stay for our friend’s hen do with 12 ladies! The place is beautiful and full of character. It has everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The hosts were super friendly and responsive throughout the booking process and on arrival. We were left a lovely welcome hamper which was such a nice touch and made to feel very welcome. The best part is the beautiful countryside scenery surrounded by fields. We can’t say much about the location. (Other than the wonderful scenery and how quiet and relaxing it feels) because we never left the house all weekend, but you don’t need to with the pool, hot tub and cinema room with table tennis and games. It makes for the perfect place for a fun and relaxing get away. We would definitely return either as a group of friends or with families for the kids to enjoy. It would make a great stay at any time of year, especially at Christmas time or in the summer to enjoy the outside more. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. The perfect place to stay to re charge the batteries. Our weekend was spent relaxing in front of the log fire, walking our dogs along the many footpaths on the doorstep and enjoying the lovely food at the dog friendly local pubs, which are only a short walk away. Rachel was a wonderful host, responsive and helpful and the cottage was spotless upon our arrival.

Lovely peaceful cottage with all the amenities you could need. Very relaxing. Sitting out on the balcony with views of the lake was the perfect switch off needed. Beds are super comfy and the kitchen has everything you could need. Small gestures like supplying shampoo, hairdryers etc helps the ease of packing. Nice touches with the board games too. Communication with Chris and Alexandra was effective and fast. Very friendly. The estate this is on makes this place suitable for families as well as couples. We used the outdoor pool, tennis courts, football pitch and sat in the resturant for a coffee but the beauty of this place is the cottage is tucked away from it all so if you want to switch off from it all you can. We took a 40 minute walk into Ashton Keynes following the Thames trail. Very easy to find and follow. Thank you Chris and Alexandra. We will be recommending to others.

Excellent instructions to find the property. House was clean and comfortable. There was sufficient plates, cups, glasses, etc for the number of people stating in the house, plus a large pan for cooking. The children who were part of the group appreciated the toys on the property. The park was quiet and well maintained. We would definitely consider staying here again for a family get together

I booked this 3 night stay to spend time with my family and our two Labradors for my 50th birthday. Victoria had ensured my 50 was well advertised and I felt very special with a lovely message and welcome pack. I really couldn’t ask for anywhere better!!!! The house had everything provided. Our water babies (dogs) made amazing lake walks very special. The swimming pool and facilities were lovely and clean and warm. We were extremely lucky to have sunny days for February and throughly enjoyed chilling out and making the best of the sunny front patio area watching the wildlife and taking in the peace and beauty ❤️ and thank you Victoria for your fabulous communication x

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the tranquility of the place. Hilary was a great host, she greeted us when we arrived and we really enjoyed the handmade flapjacks. We were not brave enough to go in the pool (February) but it looked beautiful. The house was comfortable and had all that we needed. Really enjoyed sitting in the kitchen looking outside and seeing the deer.

What a gorgeous property. We felt right at home as soon as we got there. Barbara is really helpful, giving us lots of information to make sure we had a great stay. We stayed I February and it was lovely and cosy. Would love to go back in the Summer to enjoy the lovely outdoor space.

My husband, Chris and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Horseshoe Cottage. The cottage was clean, tidy and well equipped. It was great to have an outdoor space to let our dogs out whenever they needed to. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the laundry was pristine. The kitchen was very well equipped and again, very clean. As soon as we walked inside it felt peaceful and welcoming.

We had a very friendly welcome and were left to admire the character of the cottage. I loved spending time in the jacuzzi as did my wife, son and sister in law. We were with our 4 month old daughter. First time taking her away and we felt she was old enough to finally go somewhere different. Tracey provided us with a travel cot which was great. Was a great getaway in a quiet area. Loved spending time in the cottage and I actually watched a DVD after years! A great switch off from city life. Thank you again Tracey. And as everyone mentions. The cakes were great!!

The apartments were quirky very clean and comfortable warm and welcoming. The kitchen had everything you would need. The furniture was very comfortable as were the bedrooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean. There were also games for both young and old. The building is full of quirky items and paintings and thoughtfully planned throughout. The towels and linen was very clean and plentiful. Our pet was also welcomed which is a big bonus for us. The lodgings is located within very easy reach of the local area so you are not to far away from anywhere. The cars were also very safe in the gated car park. When we come back to the area which will be fairly soon we will be booking again and look forward to returning.

We needed somewhere convenient to visit some good gastro pubs and a location that catered for our dogs. This totally met our expectations. The communal garden at the back was perfect for our two golden retrievers. Everything was as stated.

Sebastian was very helpful and friendly. The apartment is spacious, with plenty of seating, and the beds are comfortable and a good size, and two bathrooms too! As we were in the area visiting family, we didn’t cook while we were there, but the kitchen is well stocked, including all important tea towels. Easy to access wifi, and a good sized tv, also some board games which was a nice touch. The area is not the prettiest part of Stroud, but there is a really nice park close by, and it is well placed for exploring the area. There’s supermarkets close by too. Because it was dark when we arrived, we managed to drive past the property, but found it ok, and it was a boon to have off road parking.

Lovely cosy place for two of us and our dog to stay for a few days to enjoy a birthday Bed was super comfy, bed linen was beautiful and the bathroom was spotless with a lovely strong hot shower Kitchen small but enough equipment to rustle up a couple of nice meals Lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep and we enjoyed lunch at the Hare & Hounds in Tetbury Amanda was super responsive too Highly recommended! All in all a lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful location

Paula was so friendly and helpful from the moment we booked and during our stay. She came round and introduced herself and provided lots of local information. The place was lovely and a stone’s throw from the high street. Bourton is by far the best place to stay and central to many lovely places.
