Monthly Rentals in Solsgirth

A second stay at Dollar's snug and comfy Neuk for us, this time for Hogmanay rather than Christmas, but the winter season with its magical (and generous) touched was still in full swing. Perfect little home from home for us as we catch up again with nearby relatives. A definite and unexpected benefit of this visit was a dramatic sighting of the Northern Lights! Thanks again Maria.

What a little gem this place was. So cosy and warm and the bed was so comfortable. The place was immaculate. Everything we needed was provided. We even had eggs for breakfast from the hens. Can’t wait to return. Culross is such a great place steeped in history and plenty of walks from the door. The binoculars supplied were very much appreciated too. We even took them on our walks to look at the oyster catchers, cormorants, herons etc. We were very sad to leave. Loved the fact we had secure off street parking for the whole time. Sophie was a brilliant host and we really appreciated the extensive local info that was provided. Would really recommend The Red Lion Pub. Very friendly and the pies are great. We had a takeaway from Jade House Chinese who delivered when we felt like staying in and relaxing. Wish we had time to try the tacos at the stables. Very special part of the world.

We stayed at Elaine’s cottage in Dollar as we were visiting friends for Christmas just round the corner so was perfect. The cottage is beautifully decorated, a lovely bedroom and if you need it, a very comfy sofa bed in the lounge. There is a small but well positioned bathroom with a large walk in shower. The lounge is large, comfortable to relax in and the kitchen has everything you need for a stay with a wee private garden at the back. Parking was outside on the street in front of the cottage and there are lovely walks right from the doorstep If you need a place to stay while exploring the area, Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh then Elaine’s cottage is perfect Elaine was welcoming, always available on text and left a lovely hamper of goodies Thank you for a wonderful Christmas stay

Great host, well organised, great central heating esp. as was very cold. Internet connectivity could be better, but helped the family connect better instead by playing card games!
