The house has everything you need. It's very cozy, especially with the sauna and the chimney. Mira was a great host, she ensured that we had a good time in her mökki and was very nice to write with. She even let us know when the Aurora started acting up so we could go outside and see them ourselves. 10/10 would recommend going there. The kitchen is well equiped with all the basics including oil and salt. We really appreciated that she made sure, that we knew it was in the middle of nowhere. Thank you Mira!

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

The cottage is ideal for a short stay in Luosto. The location close to two small lakes is great for watching the northern lights. In the village of Luosto you can book all kinds of winter activities and there is also a small well-equipped supermarket. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation.
