This place is epically beautiful. It’s on the small side, but cozy and the views can’t be beat. Plus a hot tub on a cliff overlooking the rocky beach, can’t be beat!

It was a wonderful location, and a very cute little cabin! Highly recommend!!! We will be staying again.

We love staying at these cabins any chance we can get! We’ve been coming for 10 years and they never disappoint. The location is unbeatable as you are right on the bluffs of the ocean. We love spending time on the deck and hot tub watching sunrises, sunsets and watching all the boats in the Brookings harbor. On a clear day, you can see the Point St George lighthouse from your back deck! The cabins are always well stocked and feel like home. Estee was so kind, communicative and accommodating. We will keep coming back for years and years to come! It’s our absolute favorite getaway.

This has become our favorite place to stay for our family getaways. Great little cabin sitting right on the sand. Spend the day on the Beach, take a short 2 min. walk back to the cabin, and enjoy the sunset view from the hot tub on the deck. Our stays here never disappoint! Will be booking another stay again soon!

Such a cute, cozy little cabin! It was perfect for a quick getaway. It was so peaceful and quiet and just what I needed! It was very clean and I felt right at home. The views are amazing! The only thing I will say was a little bit of a bummer was keeping it warm. If I didn’t have the heater running 24/7 it would drop into the 50s rather quickly. And the down side to that the heater is very loud and it being next to the bedroom I couldn’t sleep with the heater on so it got a little chilly. This could be a me problem though 😊 overall it was great and I would absolutely stay there again!

This cabin was stunning, friendly staff. Gorgeous views! Worth every penny :) my husband and I booked super last minute as we weren't sure we'd be able to celebrate our anniversary and Estee was incredibly helpful in getting us approved asap and into the cabin! Will definitely return.

Beautiful location, well stocked with amenities, and excellent ocean views. Estee provided friendly, clear communication about our stay and we very much enjoyed our time there.

It was a nice comfortable place. We had several other families in the same area so getting together was very easy. It’s got great access to the beach.

These cabins outside Crescent City are such a great place to stay. Other than a little road noise, it was great to have the seclusion and privacy the cabins offer. We would Definitely! stay again!

I have be fishing for Smith river steelhead since 1993 and I have stayed in a variety of places, of which, all have been enjoyable in different ways. Bridget's home offers a great location on the river access the numerous fishing spots throughout the middle fork. A bonus was having a dryer to dry up those rainy days fishing gear. Also Bridget's welcome chocolate cookies are addicting, just too few. Lol. I have never stayed in the area during the summer time, but I can imagine this would be a great location.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down and relax in the woods. The cabin is quiet but not too remote. Extremely well positioned to access the Smith River and Redwoods.

I never actually got to meet Dan! We passed on the road to the place the first day, but we never crossed paths after. His instructions were spot on, but this early in the year I am very glad I took my SUV. I am not sure my Hyundai Ioniq would have made it. I am not sure if it was user error, but we never got any of the water working either or the electricity in the dining area. It was ok for us because we were not there a lot because we came down from Portland to go hiking in the redwoods. I also think because he was not there and I brought my dog who is a 90 lb german shepherd husky mix that his border collies did not like him and growled and snapped at him, but Osiris just stood there and was a sweet boy until we made it to the treehouse. Oh my goodness they had two puppies that were just the cutest and I wanted to bring home with me! I also didn't like the fact we couldn't park by the treehouse, but there must have been a reason for it. I'm not sure.

Such a beautiful place to be even during stormy weather, being able to sit in the nice warm, cozy living room, and watch the turmoil going on in the ocean. Felt extremely safe even walking down to pelican Beach in the rain was so convenient. Use Yelp to go into Brookings for meals. All of them were over the top!

Great location - the view from the house was amazing and it was a short drive to town Only complaint is the heating - I stayed in winter and only part of the house would properly heat up. One part was warm, while the other was chilly. Other guests should know that the house is on a big hill

Dan's place is just as described. It’s off grid rustic eco village with a lot going on. I felt right at home, the bed and linens were comfortable. I had a very nice conversation with Dan over coffee in the morning. I'm sure this is not for everybody but if you're into self sustainability and have an open mind then you should make the effort to check it out. The directions are clear as long as you read them.

Beautiful setting, secluded and private, as close as you can get to the redwoods parks without actually being in them. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Would stay again!

This was the perfect cabin for two people to get away and enjoy the weekend. Loved the private hot tub. Only negative we had was the gas furnace is pretty loud especially in the night. We just turned it off and it was fine . Overall a wonderful place and located perfectly between Brookings and Gold Beach

We loved our stay in the Fern Hook cabins! The cabin is spotless and there is attention to detail in its decoration and construction. Everything felt brand new. The beds in #300 were so comfortable -- one firm, one softer. The kitchen comes with everything you need. While there are other cabins nearby, we never heard anyone -- you feel secluded and cozy. It was very easy to get to Jedediah Smith State Park and the Visitor Center in Hiouchi. We also did hikes further south in Prairie Creek State Park. Overall, we fell in love with this place and hope to be back!
