Monthly Rentals in Siviano

I cannot say enough about how beautiful this location is. Amazing sunsets and falling asleep to the sound of the lake right out the front window. The house itself is really wonderful as well, great kitchen for cooking in (we cooked in almost every night with the view but there are some good restaurants on the island as well). One of my favorite places we’ve ever stayed. Floriana (and Laura) is super nice as well! Note, the main part of town is up a steep hill but it’s only 5 minutes and you can get walk or take a bus to the other towns on the island. The ferries to/from Siviano are also a bit limited during daytime (a few in the morning and hourly in the evening).

A really special place to stay on Monte Isola, away from the main ports and tourists. The house design is unique and the outdoor space is the highlight with views of the lake - a beautiful reward after the 25 min uphill walk from Carzano and a great way to disconnect as there's no wifi. We had the last week of warm weather to enjoy the outdoor space but there are extra blankets so that you can sit outside to enjoy your coffee (french press + coffee provided) or a glass of wine. We also found that starting the hike from Giuseppe's place up to the peak was a much nicer route. It's worth noting that we stayed from Tuesday-Thursday end of October, so the restaurants in the close by village of Siviano (10 minute down hill walk from Giuseppe's) were closed at that time. But there's a 2 euro minibus that takes you to the main port of Peschiera where a couple of restaurants were still doing dinner. As the house is self-catered I'd recommend doing food shopping before getting to the island.

Our second stay here, this time for longer, faultless again, great communication and the apartment was wonderful as always. Thank you very much and hope to return soon.

Great home with super views and good bus connections and lovely restaurant close by - however, be aware that the place is not for walking difficulties as there are about 15 stairs from home to main road
