Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sidney

We enjoyed a quite few days on the point. The property is beautiful with lots of options for accessing the water. We enjoyed staring at the strait from the hottub and looking for otters as well as plenty of other sea life post hiking nearby. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. The loft is cozy and well equipped. We will come back!

Great stay, Jacquie was proactive and clear with communication both while booking and closer to arrival date. Accomodation was clean and comfortable and well equipped for our stay, would recommend!

Really lovely place in Cowichan Valley. Jane was a lovely and kind host. The place was exactly as shown/described, with a well stocked kitchen and a comfortable bed. Would stay here again when we're back in Duncan!

This was our second stay, and we enjoyed it as much as the first visit. The house is wonderful, and the view of the lake makes it so peaceful. The location is close to shopping areas and restaurants. We plan on returning next year.

Our first visit to Vancouver Island and our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Tina’s Airbnb. Quick access to Sooke town centre and amenities. But also great location for exploring the Juan de Fuca trail system as well as East Sooke trails. Tina was a very responsive and gracious host! We will be back next spring for sure.

You cannot beat this location. We were super happy with the home and host. Will come back.

We had a lovely stay on Mayne in Kate's cozy cabin. The hot tub was great, and we loved the quiet forest setting. Mayne is also a nice island for cycling - fairly quiet roads, and slightly less hilly than some of the other Gulf Islands? An excellent spot for an extended weekend getaway!

Sarah's place was just as described! It was very quiet, clean, and the view of the bay was lovely. There are good restaurants nearby and Sarah provided excellent recommendations. I would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was so dreamy! On our drive in, we spotted a beautiful gray fox and a few deer. The forest surrounding the cabin is just beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed. I thought I wouldn’t like to walk to the bath house, but honestly I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s only a short walk, and it gives you multiple chances to spot wildlife. The bath house is clean and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the French press coffee and slow mornings reading in the cabin

Cozy private space in a safe and nice neighbourhood, close to a trail to walk the dog. Stay can be a bit on the noisier side with the highway on the other side of the bushes but did not bother us too much.

Our stay at Scott’s place for our 1 year anniversary was absolutely perfect. We are so happy we chose to stay outside of downtown Friday Harbor & got to enjoy the island for 3 nights. We will be back to stay here again in the future. Amazingly cozy bed, perfect deck to enjoy morning coffee, sooooo peaceful (soul healing) and we felt so welcome at Scott’s cabin. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for light bites & snacks between meals (for us) with an adorable retro refrigerator. Highly recommend for anyone that is looking to enjoy downtown Friday Harbor + all of the surrounding spots on the island ( Roche Harbor, Westcott Bay Shellfish Farm, Cattle point Road/lighthouse, English Camp, etc). Each stop felt like a very easy drive, and we saw so much unexpected beauty. Thank you very much to Scott and his wife for the PERFECT stay.

Beautiful Getaway! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 5-year-old, 1-year-old, small dog) spent American Thanksgiving week at Carley's place on Pender Island and had an amazing and relaxing week of family time. The house is even more unique (in the best possible way) than the pictures show, the views are amazing, and the kids spent days just exploring the space. We hiked each day, explored the island, and enjoyed the sunsets and fireplace. The hosts are communicative, and the place has all the amenities you could need. 10/10 would recommend and hope to come back again!

Peter's place was perfect for our three nights on Galiano with our dogs. The house was comfortable and the view was exceptional! We had perfect weather to enjoy the patio and veranda, and it was a great base from which to explore the island. The location on Montague Harbour provided ready access to the Provincial park and we also travelled to several other locations for hikes and beach adventures. Larry welcomed us when we arrived and was available to answer questions as needed. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to Galiano.

We always enjoy staying at Shannon's as her place feels like home to us. Shannon is friendly, prompt in her communication and her place is supplied with everything for a comfortable family stay. We always look forward to her generous and thoughtful breakfast basket! The short walk to the beach is a special part of our vacation too. Thank you, Shannon, for being a valued host.

Picturesque scenery and our kid loved the puppies, goats and sheep. Would recommend it to anyone who wishes to unwind and enjoy nature.

Very spacious and comfortable! nice outside area with lovely birds singing. Easily accessible and lots of amenities. I would stay here again :)

This place was perfect for our family of four. we easily felt comfortable and at home. Clean and well maintained. Easy to get to. check-in and check out were easy. Felt very secure. The location is wonderful, incredibly walkable. Close to everything. Would not hesitate to stay again!

Billie’s place was the perfect spot for a trip to Salt Spring Island. Really appreciated the welcome, orientation of the suite and local recommendations. I’d love to stay again and will definitely recommend!

It’s a beautiful place with an incredible view . Paul is straightforward and proactive. It’s a good price compared to Poet’s Cover and right next to the ferry terminal. If you come here I hope the following tips help so you can prepare accordingly: 1. There are some flies and ants inside the cabin. 2. There are absolutely no food items here so bring it ALL down to salt and pepper to coffee to cooking oil to shampoo 3. It’s a tight layout I would say it could fit 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. 4. The pool is seasonal- it’s not open all year round 5. The hot water tank is on its way out or it’s small. It didn’t bother us as it was just my husband and I . It would be an issue for those more than 2 who want to take a bath or shower back to back.

This is our second stay at Paula’s and it is peaceful and serene. A real decompress kind of setting. Don’t hesitate to book this little gem!!

The location was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed breathtaking views and easy access to all the island's treasures. Whether we wanted to explore the vibrant town, hike scenic trails, or simply relax and soak in the tranquility, everything was conveniently within reach. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible hospitality of Gramma Rikki. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made us feel like valued guests, and we truly appreciated their warm and welcoming spirit. The house itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was the perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the island. We had a wonderful stay. Carlene was easy and quick to communicate such, the cottage had everything we needed, and we loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view. The resort the cottage is part of was helpful since we had our 10-year-old with us. The pool is a big reason we booked here, and the lawn games were an extra bonus we hadn’t expected. We even got to see an otter below the marina dock on our first day - a perfect sighting in Otter Bay!

Super convenient and comfortable. Enjoyed gas fireplace, pool table and comfortable beds. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay here was truly amazing. We were in town for a family wedding which was fun but our stay at this beautiful oasis made it an even more memorable time. We loved all the various spaces available which provided ample space for all of our family (6 of us) to hang out together or just find a cozy space to read and relax. The home is very well appointed and stocked (kitchen supplies & equipment, toiletries, linens, towels) - everything you could think of needing was there. We were nervous about using the pizza oven but Louis and Tasha walked us through how to use it and our home made pizzas were a huge hit! The back yard was indeed a relaxing retreat with the waterfall and natural swim pond, including beautiful vegetation and flowers. The privacy of the space made you forget you were in the city! Our hosts definitely anticipated our every need. Pride of ownership was certainly evident. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing stay in Victoria!
