Family-friendly vacation rentals in Shipshewana

We loved our weekend on long lake. We had a nice relaxing time hanging out, fishing, enjoying a fire in the evening, etc. Also very much appreciated how stocked the house was with small things we needed, but wouldnt think to bring, like ziplock bags or just common kitchen tools. Overall, a great spot to chill on the lake and Laura and Steve are great hosts who respond quickly if there are any issues.

Clean, cute and peaceful. The host didn't require a lot of clean up tasks before departure. Kitchen well stocked with utensils to cook.

Historic homes have wonderful charm and history. The trade-off is uneven heat and low water pressure; however, the house was clean and well-stocked with towels and paper products. The hot tub was great. Our family spent three days there in December and enjoyed it greatly. David makes an excellent host; amiable, responsive, and thoughtful. For the price, it is a great deal.

This was our second time staying at the island home. Enjoyed every minute and already planning our next visit. Great place to stay with our extended family while spending time at the lake.

We loved our stay at "Meet me at The Frog". We've stayed at numerous AirBnb's and this by far was the best provisioned of any and accommodated our 2 family group extremely well. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, serving pieces, and laundry and bath made our 2 week stay a breeze. The location in The Kettle and right down the street from The Oakwood made access to the lake easy with our rented pontoon, and only a quick walk to grab a coffee or hit the playground or beach with our one year old granddaughter. We loved the cottage so much, we've already booked our stay for next year. Lake Wawasee is a special place, and this cottage is an ideal location on the lake. Karen was a terrific host. When we encountered a minor issue with a leak in the kitchen sink, she had someone to fix it quickly, even though it was a Saturday. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating.

2 beautiful bedrooms, third bedroom is a children's bedroom. Although an adult could sleep on the lower bunk, the mattress was not comfortable. 4th bed is in the basement. The house is big and nicely decorated and we had a great stay. 1 issue with water heater but owner responded to text quickly and we were able to resolve the problem ourself. We recommend this place.

What a wonderfully peaceful place to visit. Had absolutely everything we needed and then some. Kitchen was fully supplied. I love to cook, so we made every meal. Plenty of blankets to be warm and comfy along with a nice space heater. A nicely set up fire pit and chairs with plenty of firewood and hot cocoa to go with it. We visited Shipshewana, only about 30 minutes away. We will definitely stay here in the future for a nice peaceful getaway! ❤️

Our 2 time staying here. Love the location , how spacious the house is, ease of checkin and out , plenty of parking and love the views . The Host went above providing anything could need for your stay. The price was right . Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for me, having grown up in Syracuse, it was a great jumping off point for re-exploring the area and visiting old friends!

We truly enjoyed staying at Michelle's place. It is clean, comfortable and it felt like home with lots of extra touches. Michelle was so easy to communicate with to arrange the details of our stay, always quick to respond. The house is close to everything we wanted to do in town.We would love to stay there again.

I have lost track of how many times I've stayed at Jill's place over the span of 10+ years, and every time is a great experience. It's such a quiet location surrounded by nature, yet close to all the things I love to do when I visit the area. I am looking forward to my next stay. I can't recommend Jill's place enough!

a perfect place to stay for a concert at goshen college.

Michele and Phil’s “The Villa Goshen” was a perfect location and provided all the amenities and space our family needed for our visit. The first night, a storm came through; a tornado warning was issued, sirens rang, and lightening hit right next to the house. Michele communicated during the whole event to make sure all of us were aware and stayed safe. Michele and Phil make this home both comforting and welcoming to their guests.
