Monthly Rentals in Shimada

Hasegawa San is a very friendly host. He prepared the dinner for us (with an extra charge) with the fresh fish he caught. We enjoyed his company and had a great evening chatting in Japanese. My three old loved hanging out with Hasegawa San and had a great time at his place doing rock climbing. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

Nice room, free parking space, free use of the bikes that was something great. Several restaurants and shops in the neighborhood.

This time, because I was attending an event in Shizuoka city, I stayed with my family the previous night. They also responded to my communication from before my stay, and I had a sense of a good trip that must be a very nice host. It was a very good memory. They were kind, polite, and friendly, which made me feel at ease even with small children. Thank you very much. I hope this message finds you well.

The house is awesome if you want to experience classic Japanese architecture. It's a very old house but in great conditions, since it seems to have been thoroughly renovated and modernised not so long ago. The futon bedding was very comfortable and the kids managed to not break any shoji papers. The kitchen is very well equipped, even for western visitors. The location is a little bit remote, though. We stayed there just as a stop over between Nara and Yokohama.
