Jack's Cottage, Curbar

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jacks cottage is a hidden gem perfect for those looking to hike/walk around the peaks. I’ve found it to be perfectly placed and had some great walks and restaurants on the doorstep. The cottage was immaculate and looked even better in the flesh. It has the added bonus of a hot tub which we found a welcome treat after a full day of walking. We shall definitely be returning as we’d like to explore the area more. Cannot recommend this gorgeous cottage enough. Beautifully presented and worth every penny

Just got home from a three night stay. In summary, we had a fantastic time. The property exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate recommending it. The owners had thought of everything and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The facilities were perfect including the amazing hot tub which was great after a long day walking. The EV charger was a great addition and easy to use, adding to a great overall experience as charging your car can be a headache. Steve and Sandra were lovely hosts and made our stay perfect. Thank you!

Beautiful, private 2 bedroom Annex with Hot Tub

Fantastic short break in this lovely cosy cottage. Perfect for the two of us and spotlessly clean. It’s walking distance to Bakewell, Ashford and Aldi. We also did two walks from the cottage itself so didn’t use the car all weekend. The views are beautiful, and the hot tub very welcome. A great place to stay and would definitely book again. Gemma was super friendly and helpful too

Chatsworth Cottage, Little Longstone

RoseyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

Hartington village cottage with 2 parking spaces!

JaneRating, 5 stars3 days ago
A beautiful cottage in a lovely Peak District village - the area is stunning. The cottage itself is perfect - exceptionally clean, comfortable furniture, well-equipped kitchen, and the added bonus of parking. A real home from home. The hosts are very friendly and quick to respond to any messages. A welcome gift of wine and other goodies was a lovely touch. I have no problem thoroughly recommending Hawthorne Cottage for the hosts, the cottage, the village and the surroundings. We look forward to returning there before too long.

Really great stay with partner and pooch. Maeve is a fantastic host, very kind, friendly and happy to offer suggestions. The cottage was lovely, really clean, cosy and warm. The guestbook had a lovely personal touch and gave lots of great info about local pubs, restaurants etc. Great location for Mam Tor (fun in the mud in January 😀) and a walk to castleton for food and a pint after!

The Old Toffee Shop

KateRating, 5 stars2 months ago
An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

Valentine Cottage, Tideswell luxury, lovely garden

LucyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A beautiful cottage with everything you need. We didn't use the local pubs as we really enjoyed our peaceful stay. The local co-op is a 5 mins walk. The whole cottage is spotlessly clean, the kitchen has everything you need. The living room is cosy with a lovely fire and views over the Vale. We loved sitting in the dinning room and the girls used this bright space for uni and school work. The girls loved their bedrooms, I did find my bed too hard for a good night sleep for me, but we are all different. I would still loved to stay again.

Rocking Stone Cottage - Idyllic Rural Retreat

We had a magical stay. Rachael is a fantastic host who kindly provided us with all the information necessary for the trip, including all the nearby points of interest, walks and restaurants and much more. She is most welcoming and we felt right at home. The cottage was stunning in every detail and comfortable and a Christmas tree gave so much atmosphere. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and views and is a great getaway from the city life as well. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely love to come back.

Black Cat Cottage in lovely Wildboarclough

AnnemiekeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had an unforgettable week at the Black Cat Cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and made a couple of great walks starting right from the doorstep. We had lots of snow, some really nice sunny days and the grand final: storm Bert. Under all circumstances, the cottage was a warm and welcoming place to come home to. The cottage is close to the farm, but is still very private. Chris was very friendly, helpful and relaxed, also under all circumstances. Hera and Hector were very, very sweet, and we loved Hera’s antics in the snow. In short: we highly recommend this lovely place if you want to get away from it all! Some friendly (November) tips: Bring enough food, just in case of snow and road closures Dry and clean firewood is available at a nearby gas station in the direction of Buxton. And yes, you really do need a 4x4 to get to or from the cottage in snowy and icy conditions 😉

Our party of 3 couples really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfortable cottage. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped and the lounge very cosy, with enough comfy seating for us all. Youlgreave is a beautiful village with many options for walks directly from the house. Communication with Simon and Jen was excellent and we would definitely recommend their cottage as a great base from which to explore this beautiful area.

Delightful old stone cottage

MelanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Headlands Fold is a lovely cosy old cottage in a beautiful village. Rod the owner was helpful and welcoming. The cottage has everything you would need, it is very comfortable with some low doorways to watch out for, if you are tall. The beds were comfy. There was a welcome bottle of wine, milk and biscuits. It is a quiet spot with walks straight from the door. There are two great pubs with open fires serving food in the village and a community owned shop. There were three of us and it was a good size for us. Any more and it would be tricky to deal with wet coats and boots. My husband and I would definitely stay again.
