This lovely cottage dates back to 1570 and is thought to be the oldest in the village. It is Grade 2 listed and has a wealth of beams and character. There is a great log fire in the cosy sitting room for those long winter nights. You can begin many walks into Derbyshire countryside from the door and plenty of pubs are within walking distance. The River Wye runs through the village - perfect for cooling that bottle of wine.

Absolutely loved my stay at Jonathan’s place. Ideal neighborhood, which led to some incredible evening walks along the river. Food / coffee nearby is incredible. Everything is well within walking distance. The flat is very private, felt right at home without much disturbance. Jonathan accurate an early check in for me, which was so amazing considering I’d just got in from a very long journey. He was also responsive and empathetic to a unique issue that accured on the first night, so rest assured he will take care of you should anything go wrong! There is an elevator that gets you right up to the third level, super easy to navigate. The shower is wonderful. My only critiquing would be to do with slow WiFi (I was in town for business, so this annoyed me a bit when I needed it) and the main bed could do with more pillows to make it more comfy (totally a personal preference) but all this to say, I’d happily stay again and overall, I’d 100% recommend to anyone considering. Thanks Jonathan!!

Great apartment right in the city center. House was in good condition. Please do mind that the apartment doesnt have a lift so it will be a few flight of stairs if you have kids or elderly people with you. Host is very good. Very comfortable beds.Definitely recommend staying if you want to visit Sheffield. Just make note : No parking around the aparment as its right in city center. but there is one within 5 min walk

Lovely cottage - peaceful and cosy with a wonderful natural garden. Cottage was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Comfy bedding. Lovely welcome of fresh plums and homemade jam, and Jo kindly picked up some stuff for me so we didn’t have to carry. We visited using public transport and it was very easy but felt like a world away from Sheffield, with many great walks and landscapes on doorstep plus a swim in Hathersage lido. All contacts with Jo were quick, friendly and very helpful. Recommend!

We had a great time in the Dales. Excellent location as close to some great hiking and the village with pubs. Easy to find. The cottage was very clean and everything we needed was there. Quiet location despite being close to busier road. Highly recommended.
