A spacious home by the water. We celebrated Thanksgiving at this location and it was very special. The views are beautiful, had a fire right by the water and relaxed by the beach. A perfect getaway with family and friends. It has everything you need, the living room is super comfortable and great to relax with the family. The kitchen was spacious making it easy to cook and entertain the family. We loved the hot tub, playing pool and having family dinner. Overall a fabulous experience!! Great host- great communication. Highly recommend

We find this gem of a place for Thanksgiving with just my family of 5. The home was absolutely warm and welcoming. We all had plenty of room to spread out, relax and unwind and gather together for our meals. The home was cozy, had all the amenities you needed without clutter. The home had beautiful light all throughout and every light switch was labeled ( that is a big deal for host to do). Our host very thoughtful, responsive in her communication with us. We even had chance to utilize the hot tub n the evening and you looked to a beautiful sky. The property was very private and the neighborhood was very serene which backed to the creek.

If you're looking for a relaxed, nature infused get away this is the place. House is welcoming and light filled. LOVE the screened porch overlooking the marshy creek with otters and herons occasionally splashing or flapping nearby. Even the coffee beans, grinder and coffee maker were unexpectedly perfect. It's a 12 min walk to lovely breakfast (the Local) and dinner spots (The Dredge and The Office). Very quiet...great games and book selection. Just. Lovely.

Pictures don't do the place justice. The house itself is adorable, vintage cottage feel, well stocked. House also supplies so many activites....darts, pools table, tons of books, puzzles and board games, TV. The outside is the star though. Double decker back porches. Amazing view.....so worth getting up at sunrise!! Very peaceful neighborhood. Plus lots of water activities included.....canoe, kayak, paddle board, fishing poles, crab cage, fire pit, and large four person hot tub. This place is ideal for family get together or peaceful time away. We enjoyed our anniversary weekend away! Thank you.

What a delightful home base when traveling! This home was spacious and light and well-apportioned with all the items to start off a stay. Errol was super responsive to getting us into the home and ready to relax. Great beach and local feel. Looking forward to staying with family again.

We only stayed for the night but our entire group really enjoyed the neighborhood and house. We would definitely stay again.

Christian and Naomi were very helpful, their place was clean and just what we needed for our thanksgiving family get together. They went the extra mile and ordered extra cooking pans for us to use. The location was fine, as we mostly stayed at the home. There’s a nice playground walking distance, otherwise we drove to Maymont park and grocery stores.

Beautiful & secluded—this place was just right!

My friends and I stayed here for three nights. We hated to leave. This little cottage is so cozy and has everything you need for your stay. We plan to return in the spring so we can sit outside and use the grill. We have already spread the word to our neighbors….

We enjoyed our stay in Newport News and the home was as described. It was a nice and clean home and had all that we needed. It was great to be within walking distance to CNU.

Catherine's place was great! Fantastic location in Carytown as advertised, easily walkable to tons of great shops and restaurants as well as museums. Clean, well-stocked with supplies, and with a lot of charm!

Loved our stay at Osprey Landing ! The house has a great location for nature lovers. The hosts have kept the house too well. Kitchen is full of pots and pans (non-stick as well as stainless steel). The private pier in front of the property adds to it’s beauty. Thanks David and Rebecca for keeping the house too well !

My family and I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Bill & Brian’s home while we toured VCU with our son. Our hosts were super understanding and accommodating of our last-minute schedule changes. We will definitely consider staying at their home again if our son decides to attend VCU next Fall. Our overall experience was A+++!!!
