Monthly Rentals in Seorak-dong

We stayed for 4 weeks and arrived by bus from Seoul. This room is located within a 10 minute walk from the bus terminal. About 15 minutes to a large emart for groceries and similar to the beach area. A bus stop is a short walk, under 5 minutes, with multiple busses that connect to further areas of attraction, markets and restaurants in Sokcho. The officetel itself was on a high floor with a nice view of the ocean. It was clean and very well stocked with all the essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, hand soaps, shampoo, conditioner, basic cooking supplies and garbage bags. Self check in was easy and the host was quick to respond to some early questions. If we were to come back to Sokcho, we would be happy to stay here again.

First of all, I liked that the house was clean and the bedding was well maintained. I requested a charcoal barbecue (30,000 won extra) outdoors, and 3 groups of 5 adults had a comfortable meal. The indoor barbecue (gas) attached to the living room looked okay. I was looking for a place to stay near the beach, but I couldn't find it, so I booked this place, but there was nothing around except for a few houses, so I prepared everything I needed for the meal in advance, and I forgot to buy something, so I drove to a mart that was far away. I liked the seclusion except for that. When I came home, there was a food service, but there was so much food prepared that I was a little sorry that I couldn't eat it and had to throw it away. I think it would be helpful for others to buy food if you tell them in advance before coming.

It was right in front of the beach, so the view was nice, and the location was the center of tourist attractions, so it was convenient to enjoy the trip.

Newly renovated apartment, cosier than it looks in the photos but still spacious. Bus stop close by gets you to seoraksan national park in 10 mins. There are no photos of the outside of the building....it looks very run down but once inside its lovely. It's on top (3rd) floor and there's no lift...not a problem but something to be aware of. Host was very responsive and showed us round the apartment with the help of Google translate. I think we were her first Western guests...hopefully she will get more. There are a few restaurants in the village and a great riverside/woodland walk to another restaurant...and a cafe with great views
