Had a wonderful, albeit brief stay here on a recent business trip. The place was perfect - clean, spacious, and cozy. Slept like a baby. Lots to do nearby - C&O Canal Towpath, Antietam National Battlefield, wineries and Potomac Ridge Brewery all short drives. Highly recommended!

This place was exactly what we were looking for! The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s super cozy and comfortable with all the essentials for a weekend trip. The ladder to the bedroom was super fun as well!

Both my husband and I totally enjoyed our romantic weekend away at the Lock Keeper Cottage. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you need to feel comfortable. The cottage was in a very beautiful location that had wonderful walking trails and scenery. I would be delighted to recommend this charming little cottage for anyone but particularly couples who are looking for a place to reconnect and relax!

Christine and I had a very memorable weekend 'off the grid'. The peace and quiet away from our daily reality of the rat race felt very therapeutic. Great place for clearing the mind and rekindling the most important aspects of life. I want to also thank Roo for greeting us, and making us feel welcome during our stay. Kudos to Shepherdstown too. Awesome quaint town along the Potomac River with great shops and restaurants.
