Recently renovated comfortable house (64m2) at the water in the green heart of Holland, surrounded by windmills and cows right across the canal. Close to the main cities and the Kaag lakes: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Delft, Zandvoort, Keukenhof 30, Schiphol-airport 15, Leiden 10 mins by car. During winter the house is also warm and cosy with floor heating. 4 canoes are available for you. Boats can be rented in the area, rental bikes delivered to the house. Free parking. The house is totally renovated. The garden is on the waterfront and the view is amazing! It's located on the best spot in Town. Just a 1 min walk to the famous harbour of Hoorn, and the historic city center is just a 3 min walk away. There you find the central square 'de Roode Steen' with all the bars and cosy restaurants.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

Very nice stay in good weather. The pellet stove was a lifesaver for cool nights. The wind woke us up a little because we're not used to camping. Peter is a warm host who takes the time to meet each of his guests and even makes the effort to speak French. They don't hesitate to help when needed. The estate is friendly and well equipped for all kinds of leisure activities, especially for children. I really enjoyed staying in this accommodation in contact with nature and discovering the beautiful surrounding landscapes.

We had a wonderful stay at Ruud's houseboat. He was responsive and very helpful for our first stay in the Netherlands. The deck has a great view of that part of the lake and was perfect to watch the boat show and fireworks that were happening that evening. We would definitely stay at Ruud's again!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to. Fantastic nature, close to the major cities Utrecht and Amsterdam, cca 30 minutes by car to either one. The apartment is on the roof of the building, surrounded by succulents and flowers. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. The nature park part of the lake is a must see. The staff is very helpful and friendly, we will be back for sure!

We spent six days with four adults in the wonderful water villa. It offers everything you need and much more. It is so beautifully and cozily furnished that you feel right at home. In the kitchen, we cooked great every evening and ate together at the beautiful large table. The surrounding area invites you to take long walks, excursions and much more. You can quickly drive to the sea, explore the village or visit one of the many beautiful cities nearby. The complex is very well maintained and beautiful. The other cottages are far enough away to have your peace and enjoy the time. We didn't feel disturbed by the highway and the planes at all. Anyone who comes even close to a big city knows these sounds and can ignore them well. It's not noisy at all! The parking at the house was perfect for us and Sandra and Ed prepared the house very well for us. We really felt at home!
