Monthly Rentals in Santa Maria Island

Papa Curvin and Joan were such wonderful hosts! Excellent communication, recommendations, and Joan’s breakfast is delicious. The umbrella hut was cozy and had everything we needed. The deck by the water is an excellent place to relax and we even spent an entire day at the compound just relaxing there and eating at local spots. Unfortunately (and not Papa Curvin or Joan’s fault at all), many of the beaches in the area have become privatized or trashed. Sugarpot beach is nearby and quite nice though a bit rocky if you’re looking for nice sand to lounge in. If you’re willing to drive a little further past Ocho Rios, Colombus Cove is one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to!

My time at Emmil’s place was wonderful. The apartment was quiet, cozy, and had everything one would need to make themselves feel right at home. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood, close to the main roadway to get to the neighboring towns efficiently. The listing was accurate and the host(s) were responsive. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Jamaica.

Well, I have to say right off that Marcia and Tony are a couple of well polish gems! Warm and kind, checking in appropriately to see that we had everything we needed and responded immediately when we did…. The recently remodeled accommodation is cozy, but doesn’t feel that way because the patio has a lovely view and invites you to sit out and enjoy the ocean breezes. And yes, the ocean is just a few steps away. An occasional fisherman sets out from the fish sanctuary/bay and the occasional sun bathers give you lots of space to enjoy the swimming area. A couple of big boats got washed up to the beach, but they don’t prevent you from enjoying a nice swim. You may see Tarpon from the pier in and between the fishing boats. They’re beautiful. Oh, I should also mention that we were able to cook all of our meals in the kitchenette just fine, hot water was plentiful and we were not bothered by mosquitoes at all.
