House vacation rentals in Santa Cruz Island

We loved our stay at Shangri-la. It is in an area that can only be accessed by catching a water taxi from the waterfront at Puerto Ayores. This is much easier than it sounds. Water taxis run all the time and we never waited more than five minutes . The trip then takes five minutes and it’s very pleasant. It is then only a few minutes walk to the lovely home of Shangri-la. Juan met us in Puerto Ayores and helped us with our luggage and the water taxi on arrival and departure. The house is great. It has three bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living area and an awesome top level balcony with hammock and spa bath. It is very clean. The pool is great to have. The kitchen is well equipped. We liked being able to do some self-catering. It is a short walk to 3 restaurants and a beach. Communication was excellent. Juan stayed at a separate (but on site) residence. This was unexpected-we anticipated the place entirely to ourselves-but was not a problem, and he was very helpful. Highly recommended.

Charles and Ximena were great hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Galapagos Cottages is an excellent location clos e to Tortuga Bay. Also, the coffee, milk be beer in the frigde was perfect.

Great location close to pier, very walkable. Easy check-in. Cold A/C! We didn’t use the common areas but they looked very welcoming and accommodating.

Vanesa and Joel are geniuses!!! We arrived at the house and everything was completely clean and tidy, he welcomed us with everything we needed, I arrived with my family and they loved how spacious the place is and the perfect patio to play. We loved the air conditioning and the shower was my favorite to cool off. I want to buy one just like it... They helped us with many recommendations for walking (We have to come back to continue getting to know the area, we ran out of time); there is a store near the house to buy groceries and cook in the apartment, the market is close, this helped us save money, the court and the coliseum are close to be able to watch games. Completely wonderful and I will definitely return to the Genoese Family House because everything was a 10 and we felt like family. A plus that we loved was the art in the house, and it turned out that Vanesa sells them, so we took our souvenir.

Location location location! Walkable to all stores, restaurants and the port. Casa Tortuga was better than the pictured as the entrance had a beautiful little garden with flowers and fruit. Tortuga bay is a 30 mts walk from the property but very easy to follow. All Utilities available in the kitchen and great selection of books. My daughter managed to find and finish Congo! The restaurant recommendations in the book was very helpful. It would help if the distance to each restaurant was listed as we were new to the neighborhood. Another recommendation is folks can have an English speaking driver as it would have been good to communicate on the way.. Thank you for promptly responding and answering our questions and for also helping with the taxi service. Highly Recommend this property to all families and couples.

The accommodation had everything you needed, especially water! Carlos is a friendly host, who put us in touch with less expensive tours than agencies for boat or taxi excursions. It also allowed us to leave a few hours later than expected without penalty. We really enjoyed his help, kindness and flexibility.
