D's place was lovely. Raf was very kind and helped us with booking a tour to the caves last minute and even gave us info on our next trip to Guatamala. He is a gem and the place was exactly what we expected plus more. Book this place if you would like to explore San Ignacio in a prime location and feel safe. BONUS it us like a 2 min walk to huge grocery store and HODES place which is where all the buses drop off and pick up travelers. Thanks again Raf!

Had a great time here of a couple of nights. There was secure parking for our car, we made use of the small shared kitchen, and the AC worked great. The whole space was really clean and the shower was. huge with great water pressure and warm water. Kayla was extremely responsive during our stay and made sure we got settled in easily. A great spot!

The space was perfectly advertised and everything was clean and well put together. Would definitely recommend the space for anyone visiting Benque Viejo! Communication with the host was awesome as well.

A perfectly lovely holiday! Such a cute, charming, and clean place to stay. Excellent air-con units helped us survive the tropical humidity. The place met our needs well and provided comfort and rest for our crew in town for a wedding. KayLynn was so incredibly responsive to our questions and wrote with a friendly tone. We would definitely stay there again.

This place is incredible! To list off a couple things, the views are amazing, the wrap around porch was perfect for morning breakfast, the pool was great and the slide was a lot of fun, AC works well. There’s also sunscreen and aloe in dispensers on the wall which was a very nice touch. Jay, the host, was incredible as well. He flawlessly walked me through getting the slide turned on since his pump wasn’t working properly at the time, and helped me out with a couple other issues I had very quickly. His handyman lives next door, so if anything happens, he can have somebody fixing it almost immediately. The only “con” which isn’t really that bad is the long gravel road getting there. But the longer we stayed, the shorter it felt. I wouldn’t say 4WD/AWD is required, but definitely recommended if you’re in the wet season. 10/10 overall. Would absolutely recommend this place and would stay here again if ever in San Ignacio.

Have stayed at Bertha's cabin a few times, and it suits our needs perfectly. good location, comfortable, good value. Has everything a person would need.

We cannot thank Alma enough for her incredible hospitality! Due to an unexpected tropical storm, we needed to extend our stay in Belize by two nights and were in a pinch to find accommodations for four people. Thankfully, we came across Alma’s place, and she responded almost immediately—something we were so grateful for in such a stressful situation. Alma went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe. She ensured we had enough supplies and water to ride out the storm, provided helpful recommendations, and checked in on us regularly. Her kindness and attentiveness helped ease our nerves and made us feel so cared for. Her home was perfect in every way—spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly cozy. The two bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the full kitchen and living room gave us plenty of space to relax, play games, and watch movies while we waited out the storm. We can’t say enough good things about Alma and her home.

The place is gorgeous! Beautifully decorated. Very clean. So many amenities. Had everything you could possibly think of. Loved the balcony swing and hammocks. The river access and chairs were so relaxing. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The dogs were so friendly and well-behaved. Bed was so comfy. Shower felt amazing. All the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. We got in late our first night and Alma kindly called a place up the road (Carm’s Home Cooking) that was supposed to be closing to arrange a vegan dinner for us to pickup. Carm’s is amazing; we ate there three times. We took the Caracol tour out of the nearby village, which was easy to get to. Loved our stay!

We had a great stay. The setting is peaceful, in the jungle with lots of bird life. The walk to the river is lovely. We heard howler monkeys some mornings. The home is as described, with everything we needed. Check in was easy with Cecelio meeting us in town and showing us the way. This was helpful after a long travel day and in an unfamiliar area. Cecelio was super helpful, present anytime we had questions or needed anything, but also not at all intrusive. We took him up on a canoe ride down the river. It is 10 minutes outside of town, which we appreciated being more quiet and in the jungle, but still a short drive to tours, grocery, the market, etc. This was our first trip to Belize, we highly recommend the ATM tour (we used Mayawalk and they were excellent).

I am so glad I found this place! The communications was sharp. Allan responded in 30 min with clear instructions, suggestions, ideas etc. The hosts are amazing. Met us when we arrived, showed around, answered all questions. Were available all the time while we stayed there. The place itself is amazing. On a quiet street with beautiful pool that definitely helped to jump in after the full days of adventures we had. Very clean place and had absolutely everything to make you feel like at home. The house is 2 min driving from the town which shops, the market etc. I would definitely stay here again and already recommended to a few people. Thank you for hosting us!

Stunning property for the perfect stay in the San Ignacio/ Santa Elena area. Outdoor pool and hammock amongst the jungle are extremely relaxing. Indoors is comfortable and spotless. Would strongly recommend.
