Kid-friendly vacation rentals in San Fernando Valley

Beth’s place is the kind of Airbnb that makes you wonder why you ever stay in hotels. From the jump, she was an awesome host—communicative, thoughtful, and super easy to work with. You can tell she really cares about her guests having a smooth, stress-free stay. Now, the house? Chef’s kiss. Super clean, spacious, and full of good energy. The vibe is calm and cozy, like you’re on a proper vacation—even if you’re just in town for a few days. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and surprisingly central. You’re close to the airport, 15 minutes from the beach, 20 from Disneyland, and still tucked away in your own little oasis. The pool was perfect for lazy mornings or winding down after a day out, and the house had everything I needed to just unpack and live. I didn’t need anything extra—it was all right there. Also, not to be dramatic, but the taco truck around the corner changed my life. I wasn’t even looking for it, just took a walk and BOOM—tacos so good I considered extending my stay.

Shawn was super responsive and helpful. His place was so close to Disney. It was a perfect for relaxing after a long day. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again

We loved staying at Denis’s house! The neighborhood was peaceful, but close to everything. Lots of restaurants, cafes, etc. within walking distance. The house is very clean and well stocked. Our 3-year old loved the toys, books, coloring supplies and adorable backyard. We’ll be back on our next trip to LA!

House is great with lots of space and games in the living room and garden. Host was very nice :) It wasn't an issue inside, but do expect to hear the highway from the garden. There are a couple stores bearby for groceries and food, all in all a good deal for LA

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. From the moment I walked in, everything felt just right—the place was spotless, beautifully designed, and exactly like the photos! You can tell the host really put thought and care into making the space feel welcoming and comfortable. One thing I really appreciated was the location. It was super convenient—just a 15-minute drive to the beach, which made it easy to pop over for a morning walk or catch the sunset. Everything else in LA felt really accessible too—great restaurants, shopping, and all the spots I wanted to explore were close by. The bed was super cozy, the kitchen had everything I needed, and there were so many little thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The host was friendly, quick to respond, and made the whole process easy from start to finish. I’d absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfy, and well located place in LA! It was a great experience!

this was the perfect home to travel with two kids. We were very comfortable and never felt worried that they were gonna get into trouble which is a big load off our minds. The home was also very roomy and let us hang out in communal. Space is very comfortably.

We had a great stay! The house is exactly as pictured in the listing. In a cute neighborhood with restaurants and shops nearby. Would most likely need a rental car to explore other parts of LA unless willing to Uber or take public transport. Beds and couch were very comfy! Hosts are very nice and responsive to messages. The only small downside is that the house does have a noticeable musty smell. Overall, a very nice stay!

This is a lovely, recently updated home that looks just like the pictures. There is plenty to entertain the kids when you have down time at the home. Having never been to LA before, I did not realize how impossible it would be to be centrally located to all attractions. This home is 15 mins to Disney, which was great for us. We also went to Universal which was on the other side of the city and took an hour to get to with traffic. Not a problem, just unexpected. Most important to us was that the home was comfortable and located in a safe, quiet area. Stores and restaurants were just a short drive away. If you plan to cook, which we usually do not on vacation, you will want to pick up staples. Things like coffee, salt, pepper and a few other ingredients are provided but you’ll need to pick up creamer if you use it and any spices you might use if you plan on doing much cooking. Overall, This was a fantastic stay. We’d definitely book here again.

The apartment layout is reasonable, the decoration is comfortable, and it is very convenient to move in and park. The kitchenware is very complete. The apartment is on the second floor and you need to carry your luggage upstairs by yourself. Staying here gives a very homey feeling.

It was very nice amd cozy, had walkable stores and restaurants (even walked to a restaurants that was nearby) has a very safe environment and had no issues, love to stay again in future

This apartment is one of the most comfortable and affordable airbnbs I’ve been, excluding the area and city it’s in. Inside of the airbnb was very clean, quiet, and easy access. Compound Capital was very quick to respond, nice, respectful, and instructions were very clear.

My son and I had a great time in L.A. Mieko's home is in a good neighborhood, clean, and accessible to many hotspots we wanted to visit. The home had everything we needed and Mieko checked with me to ensure that everything was adequate. I would definitely recommend this home to travelers!

Tom’s place was absolutely amazing. It was so close to Six Flags and right next to all different stores and restaurants. It was perfect. He was always so responsive and answered any questions I have. I will be booking again the next time I’m out there.

Really awesome place to stay for Disneyland! It took about 25 minutes to get to the parks and only 18 minutes on the way home. Super clean and it actually looks like the pictures. The 4 bedroom is in a converted garage, it felt homey though. Perfect for our family and we would stay there again!

Eve’s place right across the street from Disneyland was great! The unit was the perfect size, much more comfortable and relaxing than a hotel after a long day at Disney. We had 7 people total; 4 adults and 3 kids (2 under 4) and it worked well for us. It’s a really easy walk to Disney as well. Everything in the unit was perfect and it was well appointed with amenities. Eve was responsive to questions and provided great instructions. The unit was very quiet, did not hear neighbors but could watch the Disney fireworks from the patio which was a bonus. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area and would choose Eve’s place over a hotel next time for a trip to Disney.

The place was very clean, very well laid out and homey, lots of closet space, and I can't say enough about how well-stocked the house was! Plenty of kitchen supplies - everything you could ever need - as well as cleaning supplies, plenty of towels, even extra toilet paper and tissues if you ran out. Office area was a great place to sit and put on my make-up and dry my hair (using the portable make up mirror provided in the bathroom) while my husband showered! Eric was very responsive to any questions. Easy check-in and check out. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Krysta’s place was great and she was a great host. We spent time at Disneyland, Long Beach and also took in an Anaheim Ducks game. Good location. Easy to uber but we also had a rental car so we loved having our own place to park. Comfy beds, homey environment with all amenities. If we are ever back in Anaheim we would definitely stay here again.
