Loved that it was tucked back and beautiful area. Easy to find, and perfect for our weekend trip. Would stay again if in the area!

I'm a 72yo husband to a much younger woman of 69. There are amenities that are inconsequential for much younger travelors that matter moreso to the silver crowd. Understand that nothing I add here subtracts from the accommodations listed, they are only observations near and dear to weary geriatrics. The unit is up a flight of stairs that are attached to the exterior of the building. This is a non-issue to travelers younger than I. The bathroom has been meticulously remodeled. Shower has a wide entry door with a minimum of threshold so no stubbed toes. However, the large shower has no grab bars which is concerning when you can't open your eyes while rinsing or turning. I have found that not all commodes are the same height so be aware this unit has a very low landing height without a grab point to resurrect one to upright. Nonetheless, the unit remains a fantastic lodging experience and in no way should my observations deter an informed traveler from selecting Scott's great offering.

This was an awesome stay. We are more than pleased with the chickens/roosters. If you like peace and quiet you will love this place to stay!!!!

The cottage was lovely and it was super peaceful but also close enough to downtown Ferndale to walk!

My family enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and my kids especially loved Bones the cat!

Merritt's farmhouse is a very quiet location out in the middle of peaceful and beautiful hillsides and farmland. The house was well apportioned along with some treats provided by the host. The hot tub was great for a quiet relaxing evening. The town of Ferndale is very quaint and offered some good food and shopping. It is also convenient that the home is a small drive from Eureka and redwood groves for other activities.

It was a magical stay for my cat Marty and I! The redwoods in the backyard are splendid and the tiny house was super comfortable. I throughly enjoyed the stay. One of my favorite airbnbs so far. The host is the absolute best too!

A great getaway in Blue Lake. Close to the casino, if that is your thing, or quick hop on the highway to the coastal beaches and outdoor adventure. Inside there is plenty of space to spread out and a great yard. We had dogs, so the place worked out great with the extra space and outdoor area. Love that view from the dining room of the rolling forest hills - can't beat it!
