Wonderful stay, one of our best experiences in Brazil. Jean is thoughtful and welcoming, and the house is a little paradise by the river. We also made it very easy to rent a scooter from Jean to enjoy the island.

Jean Christophe's house is a great find, perfect for both days of rest and as a base for getting to know other places. The house is spacious, very well decorated and equipped, with a delicious outdoor area that holds you most of the time by the stunning view of the beach and the delicious wind that blows there. Jean Christophe was super attentive to the questions I had about arriving at the house and getting around the island. Mr. Nil and Dona Lena, who take care of the house, were extremely friendly and helpful and take care of everything very well, which brings a great welcoming feeling. If you want to get to know Joanes (or go back there) I highly recommend Jean Christophe's house! 💝

Iara's place is a simple, rustic but cute house a bit outside of Soure's town center. If you stay here, I'd recommend having a means of transport (moto or bike). You can tell that they put a lot of care and passion into the place, making it as cozy as possible and equipping it with all the essentials. What stood out the most was Iara's responsiveness and patience with all my questions. She not only gathered all the information for me, she even went out of her way to buy our boat tickets from Belem to Soure. She had great recommendations for things to do and shared many useful contacts. We decided to rent a moto to explore Marajo and she connected us with her neighbor, who rented us his. Super convenient! Thank you, Iara, you have been fantastic!

The place is great and as described in the listing, it has everything a house needs, even a washing machine! Cecilia is very attentive and made the stay very peaceful, always being helpful. The place is a little far from the city and the cell phone signal is a little bad and there is no internet in the house, other than that it was all quiet and comfortable, I have already booked my return.
