Vacation rentals in Salcey Forest

We had a lovely stay at Wakene’s home. The house was very clean and comfortable. Check-in with the lock box was handy for us with a few kids in tow - timings are always hard to predict! Wakene was also proactive in messaging to confirm check-in details and to ask if we had any queries. A table and chairs would have been great in the kitchen, but admittedly the house was exactly as described.

Louise accommodation is lovely and in clean. It very quite so great if you want to get away. There were slight issues with the WiFi. Louise was very helpful and responded to all our requests. Would highly recommend.

Orchard House is lovely family home, very comfortable for a large family group stay. Our weekend was a birthday treat for a grandparent and two families with 5 children. Agnes left her own children's toys available to play with and that made the venue a great hit with our youngsters. That and the spacious and extremely well equipped rooms made our weekend a great success. The location is easy to find and well placed for anyone visiting Oxford and the surrounding areas, particularly convenient for Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. An all round 5 star venue and a great and considerate host, Agnes.

We had a lovely stay for NYE 2024. The village is peaceful, with a couple of pubs nearby. The Red Lion had great food. We also took a walk into Market Harborough and walked down the canal, which was very pleasant. Would return and explore further, and Amies place would suit our needs again. Microwave and crockery provided enough for a quick snack. Bed was comfy. TV provided, although might be worth bringing a Firestick to access the usual apps (Netflix etc.)

A wonderful stay in a lovely retreat. Quiet and peaceful, but close enough to get anything you need, the place like a home away from home, and Penny couldn't do enough to help out. We'll definitely return to this lovely accommodation.

Our group of five couples stayed here for a weekend reunion and this large house was ideal for our needs. The large kitchen was really well equipped for prep, cooking and eating (although everything initially took a some finding as there are so many cupboards!) and the two tables together made a great eating area. The main sitting room is huge and everyone felt the bedrooms were comfortable. We didn't use the garden at all, it was small relative to the size of the house but there are plenty of lanes and paths locally to walk on. We found plenty to do and a choice of places to eat within driving distance we managed to fit 5 cars into the parking area although it was a tight squeeze. Anjala was quick to respond to our only query during the weekend and overall, we'd have no hesitation about recommending this property for a weekend stay for a large group.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was very clean and spacious with cosy interiors. It's in a great location, with the co-op across the road and some nice walks nearby. Hannah was a lovely and informative host. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I have family in the village. I’ve stayed here twice now and will stay here every time I visit from now on. House is great and Terrie is super helpful. Would highly recommend.
