Vacation rentals in Saint James

This place is AH-mazing and we honestly didn't want to leave. So peaceful, out of the city but still so close to all of the wedding events that we were visiting St. James for. LOVED the area, the quiet and everything about the farm style, eclectic house. I want a make-up table now (even though I don't wear much make-up), and I want some COWS, lol! I only rated getting in lower stars because my husband and I are "old" and unfamiliar with how all the different newish keyless entry locks work and that took us a hot minute to get right. 🤦 #wedumb 😂 If we ever need a place in St. James to stay, this will definitely be our first choice!

We had a great stay ! All was nice and clean .We walked 1 minute to a very nice restaurant with great food and ambiance .Beds were super comfy !Clear instructions on how to check in and check out . We would stay again!

We had a wonderfully peaceful visit at the cabin! My Son wanted a weekend trip for his birthday and he picked this cabin himself. Everything was as described! He spent hours fishing, didn’t catch anything but there’s always next time. The cabin was warm and comfy and had everything we needed and more ! We plan to go back soon.

This was our first time renting an Airbnb. If we are ever back in the area we will stay here again. It's located in a nice neighborhood that's conveniently located close to base, restaurants, shopping, etc. Jayson responded promptly to any questions I had and was very helpful. Overall, it was a good experience.

Cute tiny house on well maintained property with responsive hosts who quickly responded to requests. This particular house’s porch is in sun in the afternoon while others are shaded then. So you can sort of pick your preference via different houses they list. Near a great floating outfit and caves.

Our time in Hayley’s rental was wonderful. We had everything we needed for our 3 month stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook, the appliances were new and all worked great. Bathroom was clean. Plenty of space in the bedroom area to put all of our stuff. Felt very safe here. Everything was clean and no bugs or critters. Washer and dryer were super new and worked great! Dumpster outside at a walkable distance so it was easy to take our trash out. Hayley and her husband were extremely responsive, got back to us within 10 minutes or less anytime we reached out. Very easy to communicate with! Even brought us a flashlight when there were storms that threatened power outages and popped in (with permission) to turn on our emergency heat while we were away from the area for a week and snowstorms were happening. Note that this is by a train track so be prepared for it! Hosts provided plenty of earplugs in case we needed them. I would definitely stay here again!!! :)

While I gave Greg high marks, things weren't perfect. For example the Air B&B street number given isn't the actual street number. The front of the loft is not visible from the road. The gravel drive that goes in front is best negotiated in an SUV. Had we been driving my low riding Honda Fit, it could have been a problem. Get motion detector lights for when people first check in and move key box to door. I feel rather a spaz for forgetting Greg's message said it would be on a post, next to the door is the logical location. Don't mean to be picky, but the coffee pot is past due to be descaled. It took over an hour to brew a pot and it left some weird, though harmless, calcium deposits on the coffee grounds.

The House of Eden (Tim’s place) Is a great little place, perfect for spending a few days together to celebrate or Solider’s graduation at Fort Leonard Wood. It is 15 mins from the base. It has plenty of room for spending time together. Everything was exactly as listed. The Uranus Fudge factory is just down the road. Coltan’s Steak house is on the way to the base and is a fantastic place for a meal. If you and your family are looking for a place to call home for a few days while visiting FLW or attending a loved one’s graduation. This is the perfect place for you.

This was a comfortable 2 bedroom home in a convenient location. The furnishings were quaint and ‘antiquey’ with a bit of charm. It was a great stay!
