place was quiet and comfortable. host was absolutely amazing we had one small issue at the place where the heat stopped working she had somebody there within 10 minutes looking at it. went as far as having space heaters delivered to the house for the night. and by the time we got back the next day from work everything was fixed and working highly recommend would definitely stay again

Carl is a wonderful host and his place is spotlessly clean and comfortable. There is lots of space to hang out filled with artwork, games, books and puzzles as well as tv and wifi. The garden in back is beautiful and we would have spent time there if the weather had cooperated. Carl responded quickly and kindly to any request and made it very easy to extend our visit if we got snowed in by an unexpected winter storm. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It’s a short drive to the main part of Belen for restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

I only stayed two nights but the long road to Plateau Hame de Colquhoun (Ka-hoon) is well worth it. Once you arrive on the property, Mel, Brent, and Anne are extremely welcoming and informative. The morning after I arrived, I opted for a tour of the surrounding area. For two hours on a clear Monday morning, we rode in the back of the truck to various local points of interest. From artwork and personal projects to aliens and land scams, there's a lot of neat history to be told. As I said, my stay was short so I hadn't had the opportunity to explore the many other amenities like a a general store, plenty of firewood, full music studio, and grilling area but I will certainly be back!

outstanding host, very responsive and checked in with me often to see if I was comfortable or needed anything. the house is cozy, clean and friendly neighbors.
