My house is in Hau thao village where is 8km far from the Sapa town center. Booked a bungalow for 2 nights but there seemed to be some miscommunication, hence we had a normal room with shared toilet for the first night but Nguyen made up for it the second night as he moved us to a bigger bungalow and also gave a a discount for the inconvenience. Good service recovery. Rooms were clean and cozy.

We absolutely loved out time at the Indy homestay. Thanh and her husband were so welcoming and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. They even arranged the taxis too and from their homestay. The family dinners were the highlight of our trip and they tasted authentic just like my moms cooking (I’m Vietnamese). Their location is close to some of the best walking views, tasty authentic restaurants and bars, and is a nice quiet escape away from the cities. The bed is very comfy and their pets are so sweet and friendly. We walked about 15 minutes to rent a motorbike and explored the local villages. There is so much to explore we wish we had more time!! Would come back again in a heartbeat.

Our stay with Sù and her family was very nice. She has a large house with several bedrooms and several dorms on the upper floor. You sleep in the same house as Sù. If you want, you can eat with her and her family in the evening. We certainly felt well taken care of throughout the stay. Through Sù's website, we could also book wine great trekking tour. We would really recommend this. Sù leads you through the nearby villages and paths that no other tourists walk. For an authentic insight into the Black Hmong community, this is really a great event! Thanks Sù, see you again! 💕💕

I had a wonderful stay at Sue’s homestay. Sue welcomes everyone so warmly and is such a generous host. The homestay has beautiful views of the valley, I loved sitting on the balcony and looking out at the evening sun on the hills. I spent three nights at Indigo Snail and also went trekking with Sue’s daughter-in-law Sung and did a batik workshop with Sue, both of which were great. Sue and her family cooked delicious breakfasts and dinners which we ate together. This is an authentic homestay experience and Sue and her family shared their culture and their home so generously with me. I’d recommend staying here and booking a trek and a batik workshop with Sue ❤️

Sue is a very warm person. We felt directly as if we were part of her family. The price included breakfast and a very rich dinner, which we spent together with the other guests and Sue's family. Sue is very attentive and asks often if everything is fine. We got an upgrade to one of their bungalows which are really nicely decorated and have a great view. We also slept very well there. We really enjoyed Mama Gia's hospitality! We almost felt as part of the family. The rooms are new and of nice bamboo material with a great view over the rice fields. We got great advice both before the travel as also for our further trip. They were really caring! But the thing we most enjoyed was the family dinner. We got a lot of interesting informations and probably the best food we had so far in Vietnam with rice from the family's own fields.

This place was amazing to stay at and see the culture of the Hmong people. So many options for different trekking and activities to do. Room was a bit cold at night but that is because you are staying in a traditionally built home, and we were there in February. Zizi was an amazing host, made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very comfortable to reach out if we needed anything!
