The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

Steve was a fantastic host—very responsive, helpful, and flexible with check-in and move-out times. The location was stunning! We had a private beach to ourselves all week, gorgeous views, and easy access to the longest footbridge in the Southern Hemisphere. The property also included two kayaks, which we used to explore the nearby rocks with incredible views and crystal-clear water. Our only hiccup was the lack of linens, but this was clearly stated in the Airbnb listing—we just missed it. I recommend reading the listing carefully, as towels and sheets are only provided for an additional charge. Also, nearly the entire house is carpeted, so be mindful with drinks. Overall, a great stay!

Thank you for sharing your space with us. My family of 5 stayed two nights, wish we had stayed a little longer. Beautiful views where we stayed in the caravan and tent. One of the Best Airbnb Experiences Ever! Our stay in Russell was absolutely unforgettable — this is hands down one of the best Airbnb's we have ever stayed at. The property itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained spaces and super comfortable beds and living areas. But what really sets this place apart are the incredible outdoor features. The backyard opens directly onto the beach, creating the most amazing setting. With kayaks and a dinghy available to use, plus a trampoline, swings, volleyball net, and even a slackline, there's something for everyone — you could easily spend your entire stay without ever leaving the property! And after a day of exploring the water, soaking in the outdoor spa while watching the sunset is pure magic. Honestly, the photos in the listing don’t even come close to showing how special this place is. It exceeded every expectation, and we would rebook it in a heartbeat. Already hoping we can come back soon!

Lovely place to stay. Very well equipped. Great for family group of 3 generations. Great views from all rooms and always something happening on estuary. Pool table, spa , pizza oven and kayaks provided great variety of options. Highly recommend

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We had a great stay at Laurenc's place. Great location to the ferry and all the activities in the area. Restaurants and stores a few steps away! Laurence was quick to respond when we had questions. We didn't need to drive anywhere, which was great!

Loved our stay! Location was perfect for our stay. Directly across from the Marina where we had activities. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. And super close to grocery stores as well. The apartment was comfortable and very clean. Thanks for a great stay.

This was such an incredible retreat spot! Very secluded, with one of the most breathtaking views of Te Ngaere Bay! Our favorite part was the open-air option to enjoy cooking & dining inside while being outside. Very clean, modern & incredible espresso machine to enjoy cappuccinos with the epic sunrise! We also found it nice to have your own trail down to the beach & private plunge pool. Be prepared for a climb back up for some good exercise! Worth it… especially when you can take a nice cold (or hot) outdoor shower! Great communication & care from Kas & Rhys- they are awesome hosts!

This place was beautiful in the picture, but even more beautiful in reality. We chose this place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we are very pleased. We enjoyed a three-course dinner prepared by ourselves with a breathtaking view in the background. We didn't even think about going to a restaurant, because no restaurant offers such a milieu. The nice pool and jacuzzi in the common area added even more value. Every moment was worth staying there and the price-quality ratio is perfectly balanced. The staff was very pleasant as well. Thank you very much for playing an important role in our important day!

This is a beautiful condo very central location with waterfront views. If you are not able to climb stairs, there are two flights of stairs to the condo

Unique location above the marina. It was great to spend time on the deck watching the comings and goings of all the boats. The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Marina Cafe across the carpark had great meals that we ate there two nights in a row. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Stunning place to stay and relax with or without kids. Theres lots of space, plenty of beds too. The view is absolutely stunning and the spa pool is such a great addition to the place. I would recommend that you take lots of food for the duration of your stay as the nearest supermaket is quite a drive away. They do have a yummy fish and chip shop and a dairy for your daily needs :) absolutely worth staying here!

Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.
